Jenny/Ella

If she hadn't been nominated, Jenny hadn't even planned on going to the dance. She had been a more than willing participant in every other spirit week event, from theme days to the choir performance, but the homecoming dance had just seemed like a bad idea to her. She was excited for the homecoming game, and the result thrilled her to no end, and cheering during it had been a once in a lifetime experience, but the dance.. Well, it was just lucky that she had her sister to convince her to go. Between Ella and the nomination, Jenny found herself all dressed-up and looking for a place to go. Even if she was going stag, that would be okay. She was mostly glad to be there with Ella, to be arriving with her. It meant they could spend some time together before her sister and herself got swept away by any other friends. As they entered the hall, Jenny was pleasantly surprised to see that they weren't the only people to begin arriving a bit early. There were plenty of other people around, and it made Jenny feel like less of a spectacle. With all of the drama going on for her lately, it was nice not to feel like the center of a problem for a night. She was holding gently onto her sister's arm, turning her head a bit to smile at the other blonde. "Wanna go get something to drink? Or should we stake out a table? Vinnie and them will probably want us to hold a table if we're all gunna hang out or something." It hadn't been a plan, but Vinnie and Ella had been spending a lot of time together again, and Jenny couldn't help but assume, nudging her sister a bit. "Right?"

Ella had been determind to get Jenny to the dance. No matter how many "I'm fines" Jenny through out, Ella knew when her sister was not okay. Perhaps it was Charlie, it was usually that cocksucker. Besides, she'd been nominated for Homecoming Queen! That was kind of a big deal, especially for mom, who Ella was sure had cried down the phone for at least fifteen minutes.
The twins had managed to match up again, both wearing shades of purple as they walked into the dance. "Let's get a drink first" Ella said brightly, scoping out the refreshments. She rolled her eyes at Jenny's suggestion, going slightly pink. "It's not like that. We're just working on routines is all." Sure, Vinny was cute and all, but it hadn't worked out the last time.

"Sure, not like that," Jenny replied, only slightly mocking her sibling. She followed the other blonde over toward the refreshment table, wedging her way in between two older boys, and grabbing them both cups, handing one over to Ella. "You could tell me though, you know, if it was. I wouldn't make fun or anything. As long as he treats you good, right?"
Scooping some punch out of the bowl, and actively avoiding scooping out any of the fruit floating around in it, Jenny took a sip. She had so much she wanted to say, to talk about, but no idea where to begin. Nor was this really the setting.
But if she couldn't talk to Ella, who could she ever talk to?

"Yeah everything, duh!" Jenny replied quickly, feeling an immediate pang of guilt, although she expression didn't show it. She took another sip of her drink, following her sister's gaze out onto the dance floor. There wasn't much talent to choose from, but there were some people around.
And if she came all of the way here, she supposed she might as well dance. It'd make Ella happy anyway.
"We definitely will," she assured her twin, nudging her gently with her elbow. "You have anybody in mind? I mean besides Vin," she teased, unable to hold in her giggle.
