"The latter seems more apt," he mused a little, tilting his head to the side as he shifted on the chair. He bounced his foot in the air a bit, chewing his lip as he looked absently at the page. "Do you think things get better once you graduate this place?"

He knew it was a random sort of question, but was curious as he stared off into the oblivion. It wasn't even that being at school was terrible, either. It was the simple state of 'child but not' that was vexing. That and the conflicting emotions that ran amok in day to day life.

Most people attending CCI seemed content with their lives, happy with general things while vexed by only the trivial. But Leon had a certain sort of loathing for this in between limbo, as if it were nothing more than a prelude to hell, waiting for him to take that one last unfortunate misstep.

Sibyl blinked at the question, which was certainly a bit random, but took a moment to think it over. Her eyes rested absently on the coffee table not to far out of her reach as she thought.

She had to admit that she thought the majority of the world was just plain bad. There were too many people that made a bad example of human beings. Some were violent, some were just hateful, some were so closed-minded to the point they were just negative. There were much less people out there that were truly good, and ones that made her proud on occasion. Then there were just people in the middle.

With everything going on that she saw in the news, it all seemed rather dismal. That certainly colored her answer when she finally replied, leaving her eyes on the table. "I'm not putting my hopes in it. I suppose it's a matter of coming out better than going in, and succeeding in doing what makes you happy that it rests on. It'll be as good as we make it."

"I guess." He mused for a moment in silence. He wasn't really much of a chatter, he hadn't been since his first year in Upper Academy, but for some reason he felt chatty right now.

"My uncle was part of the War back in England, you know." He said after a moment, "my mum hates him for it, but I guess it was just one of those things. He was always a dark wizard, half of Europe has dark wizards in their family..." That was a bit rambly, he realized, shaking his head as he sat up and moved his legs around in front of him.

"What I mean, is...it just seems like here are more bad than good in the world." He frowned a little, before laughing softly at himself, "makes that whole 'it gets better' slogan seem rather stupid, yeah?"
