Immediately, Gael's eyes went wide and his expression like a puppy. "You're not gonna think less of me 'cause I'm drunk are you? You know I never ever ever ever drink! Dooooon't think poorly of me!"
He pouted and whined a little, leaning close to rest his forehead on Kenya's shoulder, the one his hand wasn't occupying. "'M not a cradle robber, Ken!"
Oh poor boy. How is it that it was Kenya, and not his girl that was holding him both upright and outright? "No, you're never drunk. You're okay Gael..."
Never mind that, at least his head hadn't fallen on her breast, which it very well could have. "You're not?"
Because at this point in time, Gael wasn't sure where he stood with anyone, let alone a girl it seemed like he'd recently started seeing. "D'you really think so? I don't think so..."
He shook his head, keeping it on her shoulder since it suddenly felt a bit too heavy to lift. "Nooooo."
"I know so. C'mon, you're not even that drunk now!" She lied, oh she lied. Propping him up with one arm Kenya started to look around for a couch, or at least a soft bit of floor.
He snorted again, moving with her though stumbling slightly. "Yeah I am. I'm quite drunk, quite drunk indeed..." He glanced at his cup, half of which was left from when he'd sloshed it all around. "And I've still got some more... whatever this is."
At her question, he slumped a little. "Yes, I'm sure. I don't even know what's going on..."
Score! A couch, and only a slightly soiled one at that! First Gael had to go down, then she'll follow with every intention of stealing his cup from him in the process. "I can finish that off if you want..." Not that she was going to, but the intention was still there.
He plopped himself down on the couch heavily, groaning afterward as the movement made his head spin. Leaning forward, he held his head in his free hand, his cup just kind of dangling in his other one. "No... you don't even like alcohol..." Not that he was going to fight her if she took it, he didn't even have the energy.
"I know..." He trailed off, slowly pulling himself up so that he leaned into the couch and then stared ahead blankly. "I know that I don't know anything." It wasn't his place to talk about Leon's confession.
"Yeah, but maybe it's a rum and coke..." Kenya trailed off, reaching over to take his cup away and set it aside. Besides, even without finishing it Gael was sure to be drunk tomorrow morning as is.
It maybe be only because they've been together before, and only because he seemed like he was having such a cruddy night, but it didn't take but a spare moment for her arm to wrap around his shoulders. "Nothing at all? I don't know about that Gael. You've always been preeeetty smart before." Leon's sexuality was no where near at the forefront of her mind when it came to whatever was eating him.
"S'not. S'all... stronger and stuff." Gael hardly even noticed her taking it away, he followed the movement with his eyes for a moment and then closed his eyes, groaning a little. "I shouldn't've drank it."
As soon as her arm was around his shoulders, Gael moved to place his head on hers, pouting up at her, though he would have denied the pout. While pouting more. "I know... one thing. And then everything else I don't know at all. Leon's the smart one."
"That I believe" The cup went to the floor and out of reach, her hand went to his hair to play with. Poor guy.
Once she saw the pout, Kenya had to hold back any desire to roll her eyes and instead pat him a little more. "You know a lot. Just hush on that, alright?"
"Mhmm..." He closed his eyes and smiled when she played with his hair. It felt nice. And it made his head stop swimming somewhat.
"But there's a lot I don't know, too, and it makes everything all..." He trailed off in a mumble, since he couldn't come up with a word for what it made everything.
Kenya remembered that, slightly or at the very least that like any puppy, Gael liked being petted. "I don't think you're supposed to know everything yet. Maybe when you're old or something but... not yet."
No kisses, nothing intimate, she just kept petting and playing with his hair. "What's wrong G?"
He snorted. "Even the old people don't know everything." He meant that in particular reference to his family. They knew nothing compared to him... In certain regards.
He couldn't help snuggling up to her side. She was, after all, petting him and his hair and being all nice and comforting. He wanted to tell her... "Nooooo, I can't tell you... S'a secret..."
"Oh?" She paused for a moment, interrupting her petting just long enough to start it back up again. "Did you get bad exams or something?" Not that Gael was known as the smart one by any means, but still.
He shook his head against her shoulder, half nuzzling her in the action. "No... nothing 'bout school r'anything..."
Kenya was trustworthy. And if he made her swear not to tell anyone, he was pretty sure she'd keep the promise... "...you gotta swear not to tell anyone ever."
"Yeah, I promise." Poor guy. If he wasn't drunk she'd probably have stopped him by now, but so far all he made her want to do is give him a teddy bear.
"Okay, just make sure you don't tell it, cause I'd be sad if you died." He gave a solemn nod.
"Leon told me something..." He whispered it again, but leaned toward her ear so she could hear better. "He told me... he's gay." The last word was even softer.
Hay? Fay? Jay? J- Gay... Oh. Oh. Leon was gay. Well, huh. Go figure. That did however, explain poor Gael's here current state. Even if they were 'broken up' and he had another girl, that deserved a kiss on the forehead.
He groaned and clung to her, shaking his head against her once more. "Noo... He's gonna be even more miserable, and our family won't help anything at all, and everything suuuuuucks!"
