Amy hadn't been sure whether or not she was going to Sam's New Year's Eve party when she first heard about it, but Grandma said Adam couldn't go unless she did, and that tipped the scales in favor of going. She was amused by how excited he was about his first big high school party. Though they'd only arrived a few minutes past seven, there was already a sizeable amount of people at the party. As it was a New Year's Eve party, Amy thought a little glitz might be appropriate (at least from what she'd seen on TV and in movies, this was her first New Year's Eve party not counting sleepovers), but now she wondered if her sequinned top and silver shoes were a little much, considering how many people were in T-shirts, jeans and sneakers. Then again, there were a few other girls in glitzy tops and heels, too. And there was nothing dressy about her dinosaur jewelry. Nothing. Adam quickly made a beeline to where a small group of freshmen were standing at the corner of the living room, and Amy went to get something to drink. Grabbing a wine cooler, she headed over to the couch and sat down, sipping her drink and toying with her dinosaur bracelet while she kept an eye on Adam as was her job as the oldest sibling, at least until something more interesting distracted her.

"Okay, you're not even making any sense." Amy scoffed, not even bothering to argue the fact that Ginger was clearly not watching where she was going, or the merits of thrift store shopping. It'd go over her head.
"I'm over here not being social because I'm not really much of a people person. Sometimes I need a little of this-" she indicated her wine cooler before continuing, "before I feel up to talking to people at these things. And you'll be in someone's 'personal party' because you're easy. If you were wearing my outfit and I was wearing yours, I'd still need a drink to put me in a better mood for mass socialization, and you'd still probably end up getting screwed. Hell, we could be wearing the same outfit, and the same thing would happen."
She knew Ginger would probably expire on the spot at the thought of wearing thrift shop clothing or the same outfit as her, and grinned at the thought.

"So like, why do you even bother coming at all, Lamy." Honestly, the not social people really needed to not come ruin everyone else's fun! All they did was drink and sulk, and the drink some more. Those booze should have been labeled 'for fun people only', and then things would at least be fair. If she ever had a party, at least, only the fun people would be invited.
"Oh my gawd, as if I would be caught dead where some trailer trash goodwill hand me downs. Someone else wore those before you, you know. That's like, so pathetic I can't even begin to count the ways." The idea of wearing Amy's outfit made Ginger's skin crawl, and she visibly shuddered for it.
