Erica laughed loudly, pouring the brownie batter into her pan, and grabbing up her spatula to begin smoothing it over. "I think I like you, then. I definitely think so. I mean, I'm a pretty big fan of a man with.. spunk, too."

When he questioned her about a boyfriend, the dark-haired girl quickly shook her head. "No sophomore boy," she corrected him. "No boy," she added, after a second thought. "I pretty much do my own thing. Boyfriends are kind of a drag. They get whiny, what can I say? If I wanted emotional, I'd date a girl."

Moving over to check on another bowl, where she had her pizza dough rising, she peered in at it while still speaking to Mal. "What about you? I bet you're just beating the women off with sticks, right?" she joked.

When Erica laughed liked she did, Malachi couldn’t help but laugh too, “That’s right! That’s right! I’m spunKEE boy!”, he chuckled, flexing his biceps. Then, pulling a serious mask over his grin, he informed her, “…and I’m glad that you like me, cause I think I kinda like you too!”

“Whiny? You’ve dated whiny boys?”, he scooted close and gave her a one-armed hug, “Poor baby…or maybe I should feel sorry for that poor Joe. I’ll bet you chewed him up and spit him out.” Suddenly, when she spoke of dating a girl, Mal scrunched his face up, “Whoa…you’ve dated a girl? Was she cute?”

Malachi’s eyebrow arched and he snickered, “Hah! You might think I’m beating them off with sticks!”, then he got a funny look on his face, “Let’s just say I do well on the party circuit.”
