"Thank you!" Janis replied, bouncing right back in his embrace. If she had thought about it, she could have coordinated themselves, found him pink loafers or some sort. But well. This is Janis we're talking about here, so that will be an afterthought a few days hence. "You look sooo... adult. Like big and all."

"Thanks!" he said brightly. "I had to borrow the tie from Forest," he laughed a bit adjusting said tie and puffing out his chest a little. He was really glad to see her out of her room but he didn't want to bring it up just in case he scared her back into self imprisonment. "Great tea party right?" he asked looking around at the decorations.

Well, it helped that they were still in the girl's dorms, in daylight in a large group of people and sugar. Had one of those factors not been involved...

"It's amazing! Do they have tea here? Like real tea?"

"Yeah! They have like proper tea and even real tea pots!" he said excitedly. "Check it out," he said pointing out some of the tea pots and the snacks. "What are you thinking about trying? There are quite a few flavors."

"I want something with sugar. And creme! Just like the movies." Clearly Janis' experience of the art of tea was rather limited, but her enthusiasm was not. "Do we get to stick our pinkies out too?"

"Ooo! You might like black tea," he said pointing out the pot of tea he had drank from earlier. "Sugar and creme is very nice in a black tea," he grinned. "And of course you get to stick your pinky out, it's only the fanciest thing to do at a tea party ever," he grinned, grabbing a cup for her.

"Oh this is the best party yet!" She giggled, reaching for whatever pot looked like it might hold black tea. Since there were not any black pots... it was a guessing game. "And you know what the best part is?"

"Everyone is going to remember it tomorrow!"
