"Course I did," he beamed at her. "I hope you like it," he said a bit shyly. When she asked why he had gotten her a gift he just shrugged. "I just wanted to get you something special."

He had never dated a girl like Ginger, it was an entirely new experience.

"You're really sweet, Sammy." She said with an honest smile as she leaned in and kissed his cheek softly. "How'd a girl like me get so lucky?" Though, she felt a bit silly now. All she did was get him a dumb hat, and here he was being all sweet.

Should she have gotten him something else to go with the hat?

He ran a hand through his hair. "I don't think you're the lucky one," he laughed lightly. "So what do you want do? It's lady's choice tonight," he grinned at her, wrapping an arm around her waist snugly. She was awfully quiet tonight.

"Is everything alright?" he asked gently.

"Picking is so haaard," she said with a little smile as she slipped her arms about his neck. "And I am lucky, don't argue. Gosh. I thought a lady was always right?"

She was smiling at him when he asked if everything was alright, and for a moment her smile faltered. Did he think something was up? "Uh, yeah, yeah. Everything's great! Why wouldn't it be?"

"You're right," he forfeited. "You're right," he repeated with a big grin. "The lady is never wrong. We could dance," he suggested with a little shrug.

Sam pushed her hair behind her ear and smiled kindly. "Good, I was just checkin. You're kinda quiet tonight. Gettin me a little worried is all."

"I think dancing sounds great," she chimed in, pulling away to take his hand and lead him out to the floor. Honestly, though, she wasn't really used to being the girl in charge. Maybe that was a problem, maybe it wasn't. Her mother always did tell her to do what a man wanted.

"Nothing to be worried about, I promise." She finished in regard to his concern. Instead of lingering on the issue, too, she stepped in a bit closer and started to dance. That was, after all, what they were there for.

He let Ginger lead him out to the dance floor and wrapped his arms around her waist, dancing slowly but not really listening to the music.

He snuck a little kiss against her forehead and smiled down at her. "Good," he said. "I've been having a lot of fun with you lately."

Oh he was sweet. Had she said that too much? Well if she had, it was only because it was true. He was absolutely the sweetest person she knew.

Smiling, she rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. "I've had fun with you too, Sammy." She said, moving with him on the floor. "You're the best."

He smiled, feeling that silly, little anxious feeling in his stomach as she leaned her head against his shoulder. "Good," he said moving right along with her. "I'm really glad we shared that muffin," he laughed lightly.
