Janis was giggling before she ever took the joint from Apple, drawing her legs up underneath her as she took the hit. Really, the girl lived on a natural high as is. "You mean that you're not taking advantage of me every chance you get?" She grinned. "I don't know, they're kind of creepy protective."
She paused before speaking, screwing her face up in thought; "Once, I'm pretty sure they knocked a boy over in the sandbox because I tripped over his castle and he got mad."
He practically bounced across the room and landed on his bed next to her. "Exactly," he said giving her a kiss on the cheek.
His eyes got a little wide when she told him the story about the boy and the sandbox. "Do you think they're going to tip me over in the sandbox?" he asked with a goofy grin, sneaking the joint back for another hit.
"I don't know, they're not as tall as they used to be...." Janis giggled before she tipped backwards on the bed. Even if his mother wasn't in the front of her mind and thoughts, she was still riding in the back of Janis's head, an ever present threat against their smiles. What if she wasn't found? What if they had to get all serious? What if she had to wear black? What if- "I bet you could take them!"
"Give them the ol' one-two and show them what's what?" She added, punching the air as if to finalize the point.
Apple laughed and leaned back on one of his palms. "I probably could, maybe not at the same time though," he grinned. "But you know me babe, I'm a lover not a fighter. I'd do it for your honor though, right?" he leaned over and kissed his cheek again.
Janis blushed a little and nodded, turning her face to kiss his once again "That's why I love you." Oh yeah, They just went all the way with the double L double down. KFC had nothing on them.
"Maybe take a peace pipe and some of my cookies when you do? They'd never fight someone with cookies."
He grinned when he heard her say the L word too. They were on a roll tonight!
"That's a good idea, you can never be too cautious and of course cookies and pipes always solve disputes," he smirked. "I think I might need a little more help with the sullen one though," he laughed.
"Just punch him in the nose and call him a dunderhead. It always works for me!" Janis giggled, "It helps that it's true."
She scooted on the bed again, so as to sit closer still and bit into another cookie, speaking around the crumbs. "They can be really nice though. Both of them."
