A family affair
(Takes place before this thread)

Ever since she had taken up the mantle of Kid Flash, Iris had been busier than normal. Especially when it came to patrols.

Things weren't the same without Jai. And while there were some days when she just wanted to just go to her room and cry, she knew she couldn't. She had to be strong.

For her team. For her family. Cerdian, Cait, and Jai wouldn't have allowed themselves to crack under pressure, so neither would she.

Iris came home from patrol that night to an empty house.

"Mom? Dad? Anybody home?"

"Aw, come on! Ugh." Jai snarls.

"I'll see you around soon, Kid Flash. You won't get away next time." he says.

Iris tried not to, but she couldn't help it.

She broke down right there at the museum and started to cry.
