Prelude for JLI
Max scowled at the reports. Phantoms, Vampires, Robots, Monsters. A veritable Saturday Morning Cartoon full of trochee-termed cliched freaks. And not a helpful hero in sight. So many of them didn't even take his calls these days. Almost made one want to go back into the business.

...It really did almost make one want to go back into the business. So many of the younger set seemed to get along with Cindy. Maybe they'd be more willing to be civil in order to deal with deal with problems like this.

"Sweetie? I need your Rolodex."
"Dad, I don't have a Rolodex. I have an iPhone."
"Same thing, sweetie."

And the messages start going out.

	Maura quiety and cautiously watched things. She had seen enough with the Corps to know that sometimes it was the questionable figures that spotted threats first. Evil knows evil, as it were. She stuffed down the thought about her grandfather. That sort of evil she didn't want to even let cross her mind, not right now. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Mercury doesn't have to think it over. He's heard the rumors about Maxwell Lord, but whether or not they're true (or even if his daughter was annoying the crap out of him right now), people are in need of help.
