The Ice Princess, the Knight and the Ice Dragon (bendytimed to Christmas Eve)
Cait slipped her hand in Ty's as they exited the building where they lived. The San Francisco night air was cool and a blanket of fog had settled over the city. The streets were mostly empty despite the early hour. People were home with their friends and loved one as was typical on Christmas Eve.

Tonight was set aside for time with Ty. Tomorrow there would be time to spend with her family (not looking forward to Arthur and Ty being in close quarters) and the Titans. Tonight it was the time for a Christmas tradition. The Ice Princess had to be save from the Ice Dragon by her dashing Knight.

"I'm glad we get to do this," Cait said. Being dead last year made it a little difficult to do last year. Cait couldn't express in words how glad she was that they could do this and what it meant to her.

	The 'wounded' knight flies up to the tower the princess is in, then kneels before her. "You are rescued, m'lady. I believe tradition entitles me to a request of the princess?" 	Ty pauses a moment, focusing himself, relaxing all he can. He holds his sword in both hands, and transmutes it. He's practiced this, studied the formulas, worked on getting it just right so he could do it by rote, turning the blade into something else. Cait just /stared/ at the ring. Never in a million years would she have thought he would do /this/ now. Her mouth suddenly went dry and tears filled her eyes. Her heart pounded in her chest and the love she felt for him filled her completed.

Time seemed to slow and the rest of the world disappeared leaving only the two of them.

"Yes," she said as the tears fell from her eyes. "It would be an honor to be your wife."

	He slips the ring onto her finger, resizing and adjusting it mid-movement until its a perfect fit. "I love you, Cait. And nothing would make me happier. "I love you, Tyeler. With all of my heart and then some."

She looked down at the ring and for a moment touched it with her thumb just to make sure this was real and not some dream.

She looked back to him. "We do." Telling Arthur was one of those things, but she was not going to give that thought a second thought. That could wait until later when they would deal with the rest of the world. Right now this was their moment.

"But all of that can wait. Tonight is ours. Nothing else except you and me exists until the morning."

	She could feel him through the link they shared and she sent calming thoughts to him. She smiled and put a hand on his cheek. "I would like that," she said softly. "We don't have to. "I have thought about it because I love you and...I don't want to do it or talk about it unless you're ready. If that makes some sense."

She kissed him and then put her forehead against his.

"I am aware of your thoughts and your emotions every second of every waking moment. I know how hard it is for you to maintain control and I don't want to put /any/ undue pressure on you. I love you for who you are and that's not going to change because of sex or the lack thereof."

He takes a deep breath. "And I appreciate that, but I want to be your husband, in all ways. And to be able to be everything to you. And... well, its not just that. I want you... I want to have sex with you. I've just been being careful. Sooner or later, if we're going to take this step, we need to start somewhere. It might be kind of slow... but I want this, for both of us."

	Cait called in the order, ordering what he wanted, what she wanted and a bit extra for tomorrow just in case they ended up home for dinner. She gave him a kiss and left to go get the food.
