	She had been very nervous. She hadn't expected him to finally take the first step. The only time he had was when she had been on the verge of a freak out after that nightmare. She decided the best thing to do was weak a nice skirt and shirt and hope things went okay. There was no reason for this to not be okay. It was going to be a date. That's all. When the door opens he takes a deep breath and tries to seem as calm as possible. It doesn't really work on hiding his nervousness though.

"Hi! I uh...was wondering if you were free." She had gotten the card right? What if she hadn't noticed it under her door? Worse...what if he'd forgotten to sign it and her being here was either because she thought someone else asked her out or she hadn't recieved the card?

Deep breath Harry.

	He just stares wide-eyed. Oh great...he had forgotten! Stupid stupid stupid. "I...did? Oh no I..." He just sighs and cringes a bit feeling silly. But...she hadn't said no had she? He smiles offers her his arm for the teleport there (he doesn't have any other transport). Apart from forgetting his name on the card this was so far better than expected.

"Dinner first then? I got a reservation..." He didn't mention that he'd run into the owner the other week and had helped the man with a shipping problem (truck was hijacked of all things), and had gotten them a private corner where she wouldn't need to worry about people staring. It seemed like this hero thing wasn't bad at times, people seemed to want to help you back.

He beams and teleports them to a side entrance of the restaurant where he knocks on the door. "I didn't want people bothering you for stuff and it's not fun to have to teleport us away in the middle of dinner so the owner was nice enough to get us a private corner after I helped him out," he explains.

The owner does soon come to the door and they get led to a table that's private enough so that nobody will be staring but the lively atmosphere of the place can still be felt and heard. "You said you liked meat stuff so I thought..." He rubs the back of his head hoping he did something right at least.

"Well...I helped him with a problem he had so he was pretty nice about helping me back," Harry smiles.

He scans the menu with a small smile he can't seem to get off his face, she'd agreed to go on a date with him and he was still riding that high. "I was going to go for the ribs but everything here looks good."

"Haven't gone to too many restaurants around here. I mean I tried exploring the city obviously but it's different if you're not living here. How'd you like Chicago?" He's curious because he's aware he may be the one member on their team that hasn't moved to the HQ, although he spent so much time there it was like home anyway.

"Yeah I understand. Chicago gets colder than Keystone pretty often. Lucky I try and stay indoors. But Chicago's not too bad from what I've seen."

The waiter comes rather quickly and they order their drinks and food. "Texas though...I've never been there. What's it like?" It's interesting learning more about her, and with all the craziness in their lives within the last year, one kind of forgot about everything that came before.

"I don't really remember enough to give you a good picture but.... Flat. Hot and warm too. I grew up like forty minutes away from Dallas. Was a nice enough area, my Mom's Dad has a farm. Don't do.... Sorry. It doesn't do that well compared to some of the bigger places. But its nice. I go to visit sometimes," she explains.

"I think he wishes he had grandsons. I only have female cousins."

"You don't need to do that now though. I don't think you're stupid Jess, so don't worry about how you talk." He really just wants her to comfortable around him, although he is aware that telling someone they don't need to try to blend in is a little ironic considering he spends a lot of time doing just that.

"I can imagine," he chuckles. "Sounds nice though, having a close family. Do you visit on holidays?" He really didn't know what that was like, but he imagined it'd be a nice thing.

"No farm relatives I've visited, so I guess I got off lucky on the work hours," he jokes.
