Moving In
Barbie had filled him on most of the immediate facts and he told her what she needed to know, so now it was time to settle in. He looked around, it was a nice enough facility, but it would still take some getting used to. He was wearing dress clothes, though not too formal, basically "work clothes". Only his sunglasses and hoodie were his sole nods to personal vanity.

"Interesting. My abilities require my skin to shift in density and organic body shifting. It used to hurt, though it still stings at times," Xian informed. "How long can you maintain a different size?"

"Yeah my stuff just magic," Cian says with a shrug, "At least I think it is." Sometimes he really wished the lantern had come with an instruction manual.

And Xian tries very hard...and fails not to think about how she could conceivably use her powers. He takes a quick breath to compose himself and get off that train of thought. "Impressive," he manages.

"I've heard of New Zealand. They say it's a beautiful country."

He frowns. "I'm..I am sorry, Miss Choi. I am not permitted to allow scientific study of my abilities," he said both apologetically and feeling awkward about the whole thing.

"It's a perfectly reasonable precaution" Xian defended. "Would you allow Chinese scientists to study how your powers worked?

He fought a blush. "Perhaps some day my government may relax it's policy."

"Anybody home?" Petra sashays into the room, carrying several bags of takeout. "Hey Liz, Cian, and... I don't think we've met. Does this belong to you?" She points from the new guy to Lizzy, before setting the food down and spotting Tris.

"Awww... who's the prettiest bird in the world? Are you the team pet now? Yes you are." She grins, smooching at the parrot and calling it to her. She'd gotten on well with Din's pet and dad, so all that was left at the back of her mind was passing the eventual Mom test.
