The Return of Kid Amazo
Cait decided to spend a day or two at the cottage before heading back to San Francisco. She needed a day or two to decompress after spending the past week in Atlantis. Dealing with Arthur was always stressful, this time being no different. Amnesty Bay was the perfect place to decompress and get some peace and quiet.

She walked out of the ocean and pulled the water out of her clothes and hair. She headed for the small cottage at the base of the lighthouse. She opened the door, stepped inside and never saw the blow. Pain spiked at the back of her neck and the world went dark.

"Bring her," a male voice said and a figure stepped out of the shadows. The man next to him picked up Cait's inert body and threw it over a shoulder. The two men left the small cottage.

	This is where Steven comes in. Held in reserve in case something went wrong, or a quicker evac turned out to be needed. He shows up with the group, once they're confirmed out of the radius of the base. "So far, things are mostly holding up. The water rose up to engulf Cait and then a moment later she dived under the waves. It was a long few moments before a water spout shot high up into the air and Cait stood on top of it.

A trident formed from ice was in her hand and a look on her face that would make people with even the strongest willpowers back down.

"Let's end this now," she said. "Get everyone out of there." The water around her started to swell into a giant wave and it just stayed there.

	Cait wanted to see Devil Ray and his crew badly hurt, but Ty was more important. The JSA and Titans battling the Fearsome Five could handle them. Ty needed her more. The water receded into the ocean. Cait nodded. "Take me to him." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Ok, Fate will probably do most of the heavy lifting here - I'm going to focus on speeding you all up, so everyone can keep up. Kind of like Amazo, I think that was the main difficulty before... he's using all those other powers at an accelerated rate. Hopefully this will give you all a chance to get to him." 	There is most certainly something very, very wrong there. Cait's connection remains, but the pairs of them, and to a lesser degree, Fate, can feel another mind acting on the current situation - keeping Ty's awareness somewhat buried. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait knew an all out assault wouldn't work. Hammond was stronger and more experienced than she was and she wouldn't be able to get past him and Ty. She needed to be like an eel and wiggle in between the cracks rather than be a whale or shark. 	Hammond thrives on strong emotions, especially negative ones. The last thing he expects is for Cait to use subtlety - and Ruth's calming presence helps mask her. Cait will find a portion of Ty's mind definitely occupied solely by Ty. "Cait?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait fought back the urge to tell Ty to hurry and remained calm. Panicking now would not to anyone any good. She focused on Ty and how much she loved him and how much faith she had in him, letting him feel what she felt. Poseidon help her and give both of them strength. 	"That should be simple enough." He nods to Cait. Simply masking Cait is easy enough. He just has to be sure that it does not effect the bond between Ty and Cait. "Just make sure nothing actually happens in the real world, Max," Ruth mutters quietly before getting back to work focusing, being solidly there to try to keep things steady.

She's spent days, before, intermittently linked up with Ty, and the Dove stuff just gravitates to it naturally, so she's able to shore things up pretty well.

...If everyone will excuse #21 from the UU hymnal as background music through parts of this little psychic network. Look, she's got her habits, okay? And at least it's very pretty. A lot better than Ia, Ia...

	Hammond is Hammond. Fate, however, is Dr-fucking-Fate. When the mask wearer really gets going, he's more than a force of nature. Combined with Cait's influence, her Atlantean telepathic power, and the Dovelight, both potent in their own right, Ty starts to emerge into his own mind, edging out Hammond's control.
