Wake-Up Call
Henry sits in a corner of the apartment, focusing with his father's ring. He wants to find his father. He wants to find his father.

He refuses to let his desire he's had his whole life, this desire for a green ring, interfere any further. He needs to find his father. He has to.

The ring glows, casting the room in soft green light, but Henry makes certain it won't interrupt any of his sleeping companions.

He wants to find his father. He wants to find his father. He wants to... keep this ring.

Damn it.

He lets out a tired sigh.

Lian gasps as she lands, trying to ignore the disorientation. As Teddy lunges she intercepts him, wrapping one arm around Teddy's neck and pulling the star rod out of his hand with the other.

"If he hadn't, your brains would be sprayed all over Cait's apartment!" Lian snaps at Teddy, propelling him by the arm around his neck away from Henry. "And no one is getting left behind. We're going back. But if Mongul is using parademons and the Black freaking Mercy on people, it means we need to be ready to take on Apokalyps, too."

Lian throws the star rod back to Teddy, stepping forward to cup the side of his face and look at the cuts. As she grimaces in sympathy and pulls disinfectant from her utility belt, she looks at Henry.

"How many of us did you manage to get, Lantern?"

"Green Lantern!" Speedy snaps, turning to look him in the eyes as she hold Teddy's face still. "You got as many of us as you could, and kept Star from being decapitated. You did good. Now I need you to keep that up, and give me a head count and a list of any injuries."

Lian goes back to treating Teddy's wounds. What they need is stitching, but what they get instead is a concoction that will numb the wounds as it seals them.

Lian starts rubbing it on with a cotton swab, biting her lip against her own fear. Two fights now, and all they've managed to accomplish is a trashed apartment, at least two of their own missing, and a bunch of kids nearly scared out of their wits and swinging weapons of mass destruction.

	Cait was more pissed off than scared. Ty and Cerdian, the two people out of the whole group she knew the best, were probably in the hands of Mongul and they had been teleported out too soon. The pipes in the building started rattling. "We have to go back." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Unless I'm mistaken, that's Cait getting pissed" Lian says, and looks over at Cait. There's compassion in her face and her tone of voice, because she can understand at least partially how Cait is feeling. She's been tromping around Titan's Tower with Cerdian for most of her life, and the urge to run back in firing is almost overwhelming.

"Going back to the apartment would be a waste of time," Lian forces herself to say, and pulls a GPS tracker from her pocket. A glance tells her all she needs to know, and she passes it to Cait. "There's a tracking device under the plant that captured your boyfriend. They're not at your apartment, they're at the installation where we found Mongul the first time."

	"Neither am I," Lian tells her wholeheartedly, taking the scanner back. The next part is harder to say, and Lian can't help wondering how her uncle Dick had the brass ones to stand in this spot when he was almost six years younger than her. "And I already have a plan." "The first thing you need to do is stop hating yourself," Lian says bluntly. "Don't worry about the past, and don't worry about what happens later. If you start doubting yourself, think of the happiest memory you have of your dad and then fight for that."

Lian turns to look at the group around her. They've already shown a willingness and an ability to work together, but they need to know what they're facing.

"The other thing I need is for all of you to say, out loud, that you want to do this. Because once we start, there are only two outcomes. Either we free our parents and win, or every one of us and our parents die down there."

Lian steps into the center of the group, holding her hand out palm-down, and looks around at them.

"I know we can do this. Who's with me?"
