Shopping @ 06:47 pm

[info]grape_taffy:

Allanah is her mother's daughter sometimes and that "sometimes" often involves clothes.  She will happily explain - in detail - the difference between eggplant and aubergine.  She knows the importance of designers and prefers fostering smaller ones.  Perhaps most importantly, she prides herself on being able to find great clothes for any allowence level.

Most of the clothes she finds aren't for herself, which is common.  In her well-stufed bags are clothes for Keith, because being a rich white boy and dressing in hip hop clothing still makes you look like Vanillia Ice.  Cait is hoooooopeless, so hopfullyl her (and her boy) will like the gold mini-dress she found.  Jai and Iris have some breathable shirts that don't look like gym clothes.  Dan has a few ties that actually compliment his skin tone.  Her and Dad now have another set of comfy Nick & Nora PJs.  The new guy is going to be confused by the job interview shirts, but he'll cope.  Henry's picks look great on, but his tastes run to "after hours," clothing.  Sometimes, you have to be practical.

It's Friday Night: Do You Know Where Your Superhero Kids Are? @ 08:07 pm

[info]lantern_kid:

Henry grins as he makes certain the bowls of chips are filled. Sodas are available. He's got a hidden stash of beers in his room, but... it's an underage superhero party. They're not visible to most. Those who want one will know to ask him.

People will be arriving soon. He's got tunes, he's got snacks and drinks, he's got games set up to go, and he's got superhero kids coming from all over. While the primary purpose was to make certain the YJLA got a chance to meet Avalon and Josh, the Titans and others have all been invited, too.

This party will rock.

Eli At Henry's House after the Halloween Party @ 06:45 pm

[info]half_angel_eli:
Current Mood: gloomy

Eli managed to find cigarettes from somewhere. He perched up in a tree smoking and staring up at the sky. It looked rather different. No patrol droids. He wondered if he could fill in the holes to his comic book collection. Maybe even get original DVDs of some of his favorite shows. Hell see some of his favorite shows on the television itself.

He tried not to think about going home. He didn't think he would be. They probably couldn't get him home, back to the future. That was a fun movie. He wanted a Delorian for a while. Until he found out that they really couldn't fly. Of course driving was a problem for him, with his wings and all.

For now, however, he pondered how he was going to survive. What he was going to do. And if he could even stop the invasion so far back.

Also, how was he going to get some pot.

Sixteen Candles @ 05:37 pm

[info]catchmeifyoucan:

Bendytimed to late September, early October

The cake's on the kitchen counter and everything's ready. The food is on a long table in the living room, various snacks and assorted boxes of pizza. Fun, upbeat, lively music plays in the background.

Invitations have been sent out weeks in advanced and the West house is ready for a slew of guests.

And Iris...is ecstatic. Ever since she was a little girl, she's dreamed of this. Her Sweet Sixteen. Well...technically her and Jai's Sweet Sixteen...even though Sweet Sixteen always seemed like a girl thing anyway so did that make it what, a Sour Sixteen or something for him?

Anyway....

Technical terms aside, she was as hyperactive as ever, in her brand new light blue dress and white ballet flats. Invitations had been sent out to everyone, family and friends alike.

A wide grin on her face, she zipped around the room, making sure that everything was perfect, and avoiding tripping over Jai, who was reading a book (like always) on the floor in the living room.

The doorbell rings, and her grin widens.

"I'll get it!"

Wake-Up Call @ 03:26 pm

[info]lantern_kid:

Henry sits in a corner of the apartment, focusing with his father's ring. He wants to find his father. He wants to find his father.

He refuses to let his desire he's had his whole life, this desire for a green ring, interfere any further. He needs to find his father. He has to.

The ring glows, casting the room in soft green light, but Henry makes certain it won't interrupt any of his sleeping companions.

He wants to find his father. He wants to find his father. He wants to... keep this ring.

Damn it.

He lets out a tired sigh.

Regrouping (bendytimed back to right after the others showed up) @ 12:58 am

[info]young_swimmer:

The small apartment was big enough for Cait and Ty to move about without bumping elbows too much, but with this many people it seemed smaller than normal. Wounds were tended to as best as possible and people found somewhat soft spots to relax. Cait ordered pizzas to be delivered, using up a good portion of her rainy day funds. This definitely qualified as a rainy day. She could always work a little more at the aquarium.

Work. She had to remember to call work. She wouldn't be going in tomorrow and she'd tell them an family emergency had come up. Which it had. Cerdian was family. He had been like another brother to her when they were young. He was closer to her own age than her own brother.

"So what are you all going to do now?" she asked the assembled crew. Yes, she asked what they were going to do. She wasn't a part of this and didn't want to be a part. Cait wasn't a hero.
