Mornings and pancakes
Maria was an aberration in her family, biological and adopted, in that she was a morning person. She woke up with the sun and was always in a good mood and full of energy. Uncle Bruce used to tell her to go back to bed or go find something to do when she woke him up at the crack of dawn by tugging on the sleeve of his pajamas.

This morning she was up early as always and in the kitchen making pancakes and dancing around the kitchen as she did.

Bruce took in some of his coffee. He didn't take long to make a decision. Gotham wasn't the same as it was when he was Batman, and Terry certainly wasn't the same Batman. Bruce didn't know when Marissa would decide to take a little vacation again, even though he had his eyes fixated on her as best he could.

"Fine," he replied. He usually didn't make it so easy. Marissa becoming Robin was no easy task. "I take it you don't want to be Robin."

Of course not. She already said she was the new Huntress.

	"She's still active?" Maria asked. "A bike since I know there's no chance I can get the Batmobile," she said with a grin. "Some batarangs and arrows for my crossbow. I think I have everything else." He could always tell her to try Starbucks. But of course, Bruce was going to make sure she could keep to her word, even if he didn't plan on actually making her pay him back in the end.

"Wayne Industries," he said. It was easier that way.

"Batman felt the same way," Bruce said. Breaking Terry every once in awhile was a point of pride. A smirk crept across Bruce's face.

"You need a job that gives you flexibility when your night job stretches into the day. That is something I can provide."

	"I...okay. We'll give it a try. If it doesn't work out or I don't fit in, I'll look for something else. Deal?" Dealing with Bruce was easier if you at least gave his way a try and offered an alternative if it didn't work out. Most people found Bruce to be inflexible and stubborn, but if one worked with him instead of against him life was easier and less stressful. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Maria rolled her eyes. "I wasn't saying she couldn't make dinner, I'm saying you need to get out more. You need to get out and I need to see more of this world. It works perfectly." She smirked. "Unless of course you'd be thoroughly embarrassed to be seen with me. Think about all the rumors that could be started if you were out with some young thing with bodacious boobs."
