Not-So-Perfect Night
Mickey was being very cuddly and attentive when her and Steven got out of the movies. The new Tron had been pretty damn awesome...though there were parts where they weren't paying attention.

"So," she said to Steven as they walked out of the movie theater and into the snow-covered streets. "What's next? Dinner...or do we want to go back to the brownstone and work up an appetite?" She grinned at him.

	He could just speed them back, but the walking with the girl is kind of pleasant, and lets them talk a little without interruption. "So, what'd you think of the movie? Bet we could get one of the tech-heads to make something like the laser discs." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Major Force had been watching Mikaela Rayner for sometime. It had been a long time since he had acted on his vendetta against Kyle Rayner. Far too long. He needed something that would shake Rayner in his boots. And what better way to shake him than offing his own kid?

He was going to wait until she was alone, but what the hell. It wasn't like it wouldn't bother him if another person died in the process.

Major Force jumped out into the open, firing a blast of energy at Mickey and Steven.

And this is where Steven runs into a problem. He's about to go into blur mode, his natural reaction, his momentum moving forward.
He feels a grip on his arm, and gets stopped in his tracks as Mickey's grip tightens trying to pull him down, but he was already moving against her grip.

End result? He's caught standing, off balance, not hitting the dirt nor running, taking a direct hit from the blast, which send him flying backwards, crashing into the front of the movie theater hard.

	"Steven!" Mickey cried out as Steven went into the movie theater. She threw up a shadow shield, deflecting the blast, but shattering the second it hit, sending her backward. She didn't know what Major Force wanted with her, but whatever it was...it obviously wasn't to ask her how her family was doing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"I'm not leaving you here!" She said, standing up. She narrowed her eyes at Major Force. "I don't know what the hell you've got against my Dad, Major Force, but you sure as hell aren't taking it out on me." She formed a giant shadow baseball bat, and swung at Major Force. "I'll... be fine." he manages, things starting to clear up a little bit. He can hear the purple guy talking to Mickey - sounds like she knows him. Its still like thinking through a fog though - he's pretty sure he hit his head pretty hard. She just needs to hold out a little longer, or lead the guy off - he's sure he'll be fine, even if it requires a last second save. He's always been fast enough before.

	He was starting to try and get to his feet, only to see a chunk of bulldozer coming at him. Still unsteady, all he can do is dive out of the way, not able to see Mickey and Major Force at the moment, but alert enough to begin trying to speed heal a bit and catch up to the situation.
