A cold wind bit at them the second they arrived outside of Moscow. The city didn't look similar to any Moscow the Exiles were familiar with. The entire city looked like a giant impregnable fortress. To say this wasn't going to be easy was a huge understatement.

"Stay alert," Quinn said as he readied some spells for the inevitable attack.

	"Does it look like I'm dead?" Quinn shot back. He called upon Cyttorak and summoned crimson bands to wrap around S'ym. They probably wouldn't hold him for long, but long enough for Dorry to do some damage. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Dory used a couple demons as a launching pad, flinging himself into the air and snapping a pair of wings out to catch the air and glide the rest of the way. A spike of hard keratin sprouted from his wrist as he pulled back and aimed a punch for S'ym's throat. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	At first S'ym struggled against the bands, starting to crack them under his power. However he saw Dory coming at him and instead shifted his body so that his strike would strike the bands, hoping to break them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Unfortunately Dory doesn't move quite fast enough. Between S'ym's strength and Dory's attack, the bands shattered. He quickly moves to backhand Dory out of his way/ (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dory throws his arms up to shield his more-vital areas and rolls with the force of the blow, but S'ym still sends him flying. He can hear the keratin plates he'd protected his arms with shatter and the bones of his forearms don't feel much better, but he'll heal. He lunges after S'ym, leaping for his back and reaching around to tear at the demon's eyes with clawed fingertips.

	S'ym had been about to launch himself at Quinn when Dory leaps on his back. One hand manages to rake at his face while S'ym grabs the other. "I'll rip your body apart!" He starts to squeeze Dory's wrist, trying to crush the bones. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Quinn gathered as much magical power as he could hold. "Let the vapors of the Vishanti drive you from the sight of man! Let the mystic Hosts of Hoggoth prevent you from ever returning again!" he shouted and unleashed the banishing spell at S'ym. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dory screams as S'ym succeeds in crushing the bones of his wrist, but it only makes the claws of his free hand harder and sharper as he continues to tear at the demon's face.

As he hears the first words of Quinn's shout, he all-but-liquefies the bones of the injured limb, pulling it back in toward his body like he would his wings in an attempt to extract it from the crushing grip. Simultaneously, he braces his feet against the demon's back so that he can push off once he gets free -- knocking S'ym into Quinn's banishing spell while simultaneously getting out of the way of it himself.

S'ym recognized the words coming from Quinn as a banishing spell, but Dory's grip on his face kept him from properly reacting, even as Dory manages to pull his arm from S'ym's grip. Dory's kick sent the big demon tumbling into the mist.

"Damn humans!" S'Ym cursed as the mist swept around him. "This is not the end of me!" He roared, but the sound droned off as the banishing finished.

	Jason had been doing his best to keep the lesser demons from interfering in the fight with S'ym. He managed to kill a fair number of them, but he was getting tired. Suddenly he heard S'ym's last impotent roar of rage as he was transported away. The other demons temporarily halted their assault in shock. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Quinn had a second to savor the temporary victory before he dropped to his knees in exhaustion. A sledgehammer pounded in his head and all he could think about was having a beer. Or ten. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dory staggers to his feet, his arm swelling back to its usual, intimidating size. He flexes his now-healed wrist and rounds on the shocked demonic hoards.

"So," he says, smiling toothily. "That just happened." He cracked his knuckles, forming hard keratin blades along his forearms and spoke more loudly, so as to be heard by the demons and by Quinn. "I'd suggest fleeing before our friend there finishes drawing extra strength from the earth."

Yes he was bluffing, but the demons didn't have to know that if Quinn could just play along a little...

	"Hah," Dory says under his breath, pleased at their success. "Nicely done, gentlemen. Let's go see if the ladies want a hand with their half of the plan." He moves over to offer Quinn a hand up -- and to pick him up too, since there's no point in wasting magic having Quinn fly himself when both Dory and Macendale can do it with less effort.
