A cold wind bit at them the second they arrived outside of Moscow. The city didn't look similar to any Moscow the Exiles were familiar with. The entire city looked like a giant impregnable fortress. To say this wasn't going to be easy was a huge understatement.

"Stay alert," Quinn said as he readied some spells for the inevitable attack.

Seeing some exposed skin under the armor, signs of real harm - and the hand drawn away from the sword to channel the spell, Sarah takes a huge risk. Instead of trying to defend herself all out from the spell, she lunges with the hammer at the hand holding the sword, risking leaving herself mostly open - hoping either her resistance will mitigate it, or her reflexes will be enough to get at least part of the shield in the way - but mostly taking the opening to try and disarm the Darkchylde and knock her sword in Gwenny's direction.

	Illyanna unleashes the mystic bolt, but is surprised as Sarah flung herself right at her, taking the blast head-on. Sarah's hammer cracks into the Darkchylde's wrist, sending the Soulsword flying from her grasp. She screams in pain, temporarily halted. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Sarah goes flying, skidding along the stone ground hard. She's still conscious, but at this point, has to use what wits she can collect to watch the Darkchylde, because another spell while she's vulnerable would be extremely bad. For the moment, though, she's done her initial part - retrieving the sword is up to Gwenny. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	What buys Gwenny time buys Sarah time. "Go!" she shouts, building some momentum. After taking the hit like that, she's entirely unsure of her accuracy - but is hoping she can hit the blinded demoness before she recovers, and worries more about just putting everything she can into the hammer throw over precision. Great, just great. She would almost have rather had to go another round with the Darkchylde.

Sarah binds her wounds as well as she can to hide them and not let anyone else know how solidly the spell got her, then picks up the kid. She can't leave her here among the demons. They'll need to figure something out.

"It alright, I take you away from demons." she says in slow, halting Russian.

	Gwenny does her best to stay away from the girl. "What do I do with this thing, Sarah?" Gwenny doesn't know much about swords, but clearly the shiny end goes into any bad guys who get near her until she knows what else to do. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
