First impressions
It had taken her awhile, but Grace had managed to locate Defenders HQ. Granted, she got lost a couple of times on the way there....but she was there now.

Her heart was beating loudly and felt like it would fall out of her stomach. Her palms were sweaty and her feet felt like blocks of cement.

She could do this. She wanted to do this for seventeen years. Well...granted, she didn't know who her father was until recently, but she'd still wanted to meet him just the same.

Inhaling and gathering her courage, Grace walked up to the door and pressed down on the buzzer.

	"That's a really nice birthday present," Grace said, "You have some really nice friends." She paused. "They had a lot of different names... Freddie, Goldie, Joey, Angel, Reggie....there's a few more, but I can't remember them." If this girl was her younger sister by any chance, at least she was totally adorable. Grace laughed. "Sounds like you have a pretty fun life." She gave her a smile, "I don't know if you heard me the first time, sweetie, but is Simon Williams in?" While Zoey was pretty much the cutest thing Grace had ever seen, and would talk to the little girl for hours on end, she was here with a purpose. She could bond with her possible little sister later. Hopefully.

	Grace turned a lovely shade of tomato red. "No!" she exclaimed, "I'm....a friend of a friend." There. That sounded about right. "And that would be...nice, thanks." She managed a small smile. 	Why was she so relieved at that answer? Syd shook her head. "Come in. The other residents are about and you'll probably see a few, but there's no reason to be nervous. They're mostly harmless."
