Just a Misunderstanding
Teleporting was always disconcerting and disorientating. One moment they were in Oklahoma and the next they were in New York City right outside of the Avengers mansion.

Tryggvi reared and pawed at the air. Svalin put a hand on his neck and tried to calm him down. "Easy! Calm down Tryggvi! Please."

A second after their arrival the alarm started sounding.

	"I must ask thee to stand down. We mean you and yours no harm," Aridis says very calmly. Now her dog is being good but he is staring at Sammy like she'd be a tasty treat. Aridis doesn't flinch when her voice isn't obeyed. But it is most annoying to not be trusted. "We did not act as such. Thine friend acted aggressively towards us. Mine companions do not take well to demands. It is not our nature to bend when surely we were expected."

She really does think that her father must have sent a message in before hand. She doesn't want to be the first one to strike and right now her dog is calming down but whining softly due to the alarms.

	"We act aggressively toward ANY unexpected attackers." And then in the space between seconds for Aridis, and ten seconds for her, Sammy was standing in her original spot holding the woman's blade in her left hand while training the Glock between the woman's eyes with her right. "But..." Her sword! Hey not fair! She splutters for a second in sock that bleeds into anger. Trickery is not well loved by her.

"We did not come here to fight," Aridis growls. "How dare thee presume to divine what is in our thoughts, knave!"

It doesn't hurt that Aridis knows it would take too long to restring her bow and let loose an arrow to teach this mortal a lesson. She should have listened to one of her friends and carried more than one blade.

"We...did not. Yon black armored one shot first. We are merely defending ourselves from you. If we were to stand down and talk things over...I am sure this is merely a mistake. Is this not the Avengers mansion? We are seeking allies, not foolish children who attack before listening,." she says with a sniff dismissing the fact they hadn't said who they were.

"The only one I would be worried about is mine brother. He is...head strong at best and like the one called Hulk at worst."
