Jack didn't do fancy restaurants on his own. He asked Kalypso for recommendations and she suggested The Capital Grille for their first dinner. A little more fancy than he was accustomed to, but there would be time later for ordering in Chinese and watching ninja movies. They should have at least one nice dinner on the Murdock side. It would make Dad happy to know they were getting along, and he'd smooth it over with Mom later.

Kalypso would meet them at the restaurant with her cousin if he was coming. Jack took a taxi to the Avengers mansion to pick up Eliza and then to the restaurant. It promised to be a good evening for all of them.

	Kalypso dressed in a little black dress and heels. She even bothered with makeup. She knew this dinner was important to Jack so she made an effort. Reservations were booked and earlier in the day she had taken Iason out to get him a suit. Once the two of them were ready, she got a cab (she was not flying in a dress) and got to the restaurant with ten minutes to spare. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Iason definitely wasn't going to miss it once he heard who was invited, and that it would be helping his cousin out. He's all dressed up, and despite his preference for flying, he even took the cab to keep everything just so. On seeing the other vehicle approaching, he heads for Eliza's side and offers a hand out, then an arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She's surprised and it shows. She takes his arm as she climbs out. She's a a neat clean green dress with matching heels. "Hello Iason. Small world," she comments. At least they know each other, she decides. It will make finding dinner conversation easier. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Eliza gives him a nice but still polite look as she seats herself. She tries to finds the words to put it. "Some stuff is really weird. But I've found things that are similar enough to ground me. I do like it here, don't get me wrong. But I will still wake up every morning and miss home. I have to say I do like having siblings. It's way different than having close friends who might as well have been family."

"I think so. Anya and Misha have been good to me. Uncle Tony is nice too," she gives a small chuckle. "I find it really eerie how much alike we are. None of us are morning people unless we have coffee it feel like. And we tend to have very similar tastes. Um. Wow. That'll be great Jack. I look forward to seeing Dad again. Will your Mother be okay? I can't imagine she's completely comfortable with this. I don't think I could be if I were in her shoes."

She really does feel like she's babbling. And she does want things to go smoothly with Jack's mother she's just really aware of how weird this is.

He nodded in Eliza's direction as the menus were handed around and drink orders taken. Just as well the wine list wasn't offered. He'd be legal in a few weeks, but he couldn't stand the taste of wine enough to drink it.

"Mom will be okay. They usually manage to work most things out." Jack suspected it would be a bit of rivalry that would be the deciding factor until Mom got to know Eliza. Elektra would not allow her home to be any less welcoming than Natasha Romanov Stark's.

"What looks good to you?" he asked the whole table.

I think it's from when the Avengers weren't allowed to take off and land in the city? But we each have a space of our own out there. It'll be nice for when I need a nap after training or helping the team."
