Marlow Gets a Makeover (open)
Downtime after the Defenders/Offenders war gave Marlow plenty of time to think about the spells she'd used and their effects. She'd knowingly overreached several times for magic she didn't think she should be able to wield and had done so easily. It was something she had to figure out before their next battle. She tried to contact Clea but those particular spells weren't working so well. Perhaps it was something she could talk to Matt about since he was the only other magic user she knew that might not get agitated when she said power surge.

Sure, there was Dawn...or was it Aslief? Who knew anymore. One was nice but untrained, the other expert and dismissive. While the others merely overlooked her, Aslief literally did not see her until there was a need for another sorceress.

Barefoot, wearing a boy's black tee shirt and faded to nearly white jeans, she made her way from the bungalow to the main house for a late breakfast. A ball of pulsing light hovered a few inches above her open palm.

Sydney was already in the kitchen working on her fourth or fifth cup of coffee. Sleep had been practically non-existent since Simon had left for goodness knew where. She had thought they had something, but now she wasn't sure. The worst part was that she wouldn't know anything until he got back and she had no clue when that was going to be.

She drank her coffee while she read a book.

	When Marlow spotted Sydney, she sent the bit of light up into the air so vanish. Sydney seemed to be preoccupied. She didn't want to disturb her. She liked Sydney and Zoey. 	The Panther, in his leopard suit of course, went through the mall. He smashed cases at jewelry stores and grabbed handfuls of jewelry. He stuffed them into a pouch at his side and then continued on. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Looking for the others led them to the other big commotion in the mall. Marlow was cheered immensely that there appeared to be a demon left to banish. "Do you talk in the third person?" she asked the big green creature. "The last guy who did couldn't keep his lunch down." (Reply to this)(Thread)

	All through the ride home, Marlow waited to see if the big, green guy would show up again. For the first time, she understood why Jack-in-the-Boxes were popular. It was all in the surprise. At the compound, she wandered off to put her things away. She would be back very soon to watch what happened next when Sydney introduced Andy around. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Curiosity was a bad trait in Marlow. She gave into it now and teleported herself to the beach after Andy had been gone for a bit. She had to know more about the big green guy, but his attitude earlier led her to believe he wasn't happy talking about it. So she watched from above on the bluff, picking her moment to pop down and ask. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Andy runs down along the beach, trying to see if he can actually tire himself out. He knows he won't, but he's always trying to find the limits of his own strength, find out what he can do without Titan. He doesn't notice Marlow from his vantage point, but he does take a minute to enjoy the the last light of the day. Dad liked to watch sunsets, and so did he. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
