Two days in New York City
Jenny was happy to conveniently forgot her scheduled appointment with Dr. Samson, but leave it to Rob to have it on his calendar. The day before, she was notified that she would be collected at 6am and delivered to the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport for the New York run.

She tossed a few items into her shoulder bag along with a new book. She didn't need anymore than that as Rob had kept their leased apartment in New York. Between his monthly trips back to New York and her infrequent traveling, he said it was worth hanging onto it. Everything she might need was already there.

A note was posted on the refrigerator so the team would know she would be in the States for a couple of days. She also included a post script asking Leech to make sure Yankee Clipper was fed. She really hoped Quinn would continue to be tolerant and not turn YC into a fluffy orange and white throw pillow.

In New York, she had time to shower and change clothes before presenting herself at Dr. Samson's office promptly at 3pm. Each time she had one of these appointments she hoped it would be the last. Each time he said he would see her again in three months. At least this time she would have something different to contribute to the conversation.

His body conforms to hers, holding her close to him. If he doesn't open his eyes, then today won't start and he won't have to go back to California. He also won't have to leave Jenny.

Of course, if he doesn't open his eyes, he also won't get to watch Jenny sleep. Or wake up. Or smile.

And he's going to need those images to take with him back to L.A.

Andy begins to hum Maroon 5's Sunday Morning as they lie there together.

If she kept her eyes closed, she wouldn't have to let the day start Nine more minutes...and nine more...where's the snooze button on mornings?

It was the humming that did it. She smiled first, and opened her eyes. Stretched against him. Nuzzled her face against his skin. Asked the question that was almost the one she really wanted to ask. "What time's your flight?"

"Seven-thirty this evening." Andy says, enjoying the nuzzling.

"What about yours? You stayed over to hang out with me and make amazing pot-roast and veggies. I'm almost sorry we ate the whole thing. Someone should have taken a picture to prove that that meal did happen." he says, playing with her hair.

"Is there anything you want to do today? We've got some time before I need to go." he says.

"I'll call when you leave for the airport and get on the 9pm transport." She loved it when he played with her hair. It both soothed her and made her want to purr. "I have no words for your cheesecake. Only moans and begging."

What to do for the day... "Well we could take another shower, go out for some breakfast and check out a few bookstores in the neighborhood. Or finish what we have in the fridge, watch movies and fool around on the sofa, and end with another shower."

	"Then it's great cheesecake." he smiles. He was glad she wouldn't be alone very long after he left. "I think we should do both. Shower, breakfast, bookstore, then finish the day back here. Once I make amends to my furry overlord, I'll be checking my calender to see when I'm free for another visit to New York, and then work out how long I should wait before I suggest it to you." "I'd come out and see you in London, certainly. It might be about a month for me, too. I'm still settling in with the Defenders and getting an idea of what my own schedule will be, but I want to see you again, Jenny." he says.

He turns to look at her now as well, his eyes staring right into hers. He pauses before his next question, thinking out how he wants to phrase it.

"So...where do you we go from here, Miss Woolverton?"

Jenny met his gaze. She had the sense of standing on the edge and poised leap off into space. She had hope that someone would catch her.

She put a hand on his face and smoothed his bottom lip with her thumb. "I like what we have here, Andy. All of it. I'd like to think it's a start. Not an easy one. Two countries and I don't know how many time zones, but this feels worth the effort to try."

"If you don't mind my pretending to be weaker than I am, we can do that. I try not to flaunt my strength; it draws attention, and not the good kind." he says.

"But seeing you in the gym is something I'll look forward to." he says. She took care of herself, from what he could tell. He liked the way she walked, the way she moved; he reminded himself to dance with her more the next time he saw her.

	Jenny leaned back against him. Perceptive guy, but she was going to make the most of the next few hours and begin planning for their next visit. Fishnet stockings were fun, but maybe she could talk Tamara into a lingerie shopping afternoon. She turned her head and kissed his chin. "I am okay with you. "I don't blame you. I keep expecting to wake up any moment and realize that we haven't met yet. But this is real, Jenny, and I'll make sure to e-mail you a way that you'll know for certain." he grins.

Yep, he was going to have to tell Mom, Wyatt and Dad about Jenny, as well as Argo. He wanted his family to know about the great girl he'd met.

"All right. We're going to do what you want to do with our next few hours together. Breakfast, then book shopping? Or do you want to try seeing some other sights together before we go?" he asks.

She wanted Rob to meet Andy and think him every bit as wonderful as she did. She fully expected her brother to be pleased she's found someone who thought she was worth getting to know after learning her secret.

"Breakfast, then the bookstores. You can learn a lot about someone by what they read. I find myself intensely curious by you." She turned in his arms and hugged him tight. "I'll be out in a few minutes."

	He hugs her in return and kisses the top of her head. "Oh, I think I might bore you to death with my book choices." he says. "But take your time in there. I'll be right here when you get out."
