Checking on the home team
Commander Fontaine, Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., made the rounds when the special ops team came back in. After their last disastrous outing, she wanted to make sure they were still in one cohesive piece. The reports had been favorable.

She hadn't met the newest member yet, though she knew the contents of his file. She'd been the one to have it sent to Sammy for consideration. Her little gun nut, and Walker and Dugan, could always use someone with the ability to build a better gun.

Sammy's report had been terse but informative. The others' a little more informative. Landon was next on her list.

	She wasn't going to tell him it was okay or coddle him. She didn't think he'd appreciate it, and it would dilute everything they'd managed to do already. It wasn't okay, but they survived. He shifts a bit to let Sammy's foot touch his, though his boots are still on. "And if you really want, we can call it an early night and save the next big revelation for tomorrow. 	She gave him an 'yeah...right' look. "Since we're going with the cubes and an image inducer, it won't be a rush to get home. We still won't be able to fly, but we'll can drive it through or find out when the next transport will be in the area. I have to admit, an early night is looking pretty good." "Okay. You can shower, make all your arrangements and leave yourself completely free for a long massage. You don't even have to fall asleep after; you just have to relax and let things work themselves out." Jason says, finishing the rest of his ice cream.

After that, he would try not to think about going down into the lab for a few minutes, because he knew that would lead to him being in there all night.

The ice cream seemed to miraculously disappear from the bowl. She felt full and the tension eased from her shoulders. "Do you know when your grandmother will be released?" "Movie is good, too. Whatever you like, Sammy." Jason says. He's not particular on the details as long as he can spend time in her presence.

"Doctor said that if everything is good, they'll call with a time for her release, probably in the afternoon, just so that they have time to make sure all the tests are correct." Jason says. He reaches out to take her bowl, and his, over to the sink.

Events that occurred both during and after his time with the organization had new context. Jason was silent for a moment as he thought about the implications. "Informant identities are protected. They only deal with one agent, their names are kept out of everything until it goes to court, if then. It might appear in secured computer files, but those are behind some serious walls. S.H.I.E.L.D. informants are well protected. The cases are eventually given to local authority, so that would be a weak spot." As an academic question it fascinated her planning brain. As a practical idea, she didn't like his interest.

"Let them work their case. If you have more informayion, fine, but otherwise let them alone. Their case has to make it through the US legal system."
