A Strange Quest
Quinn had been thinking about the leprechaun incident and had a feeling it wouldn't be the last time he saw the little annoy creatures. Quinn's magic hadn't been effective and he had to know what to do the next time they came around. Maybe there was a spell or something that would work against them and their magic.

Quinn had to go to the one person who would know about this kind of stuff.

He teleported to 177A Bleecker Street in New York only to find it empty. He wondered where Dr. Strange was.

There was one person who may know. Quinn teleported out to the West Coast and arrived at the front gate of the Defenders.

	Shelly knew that if she let go of even a bit of focus on the book she'd lose location. There was the equivalent of a magical hurricane going on right now within her powers as they maintained a delicate grip on the prize. "The others are moving faster. 	The Marlow illusion ran to insert herself between Akilah so close to the Mindless Ones, and Dawn behind her sending blasts in such a small space. The automatic magic shield of pretty pink surrounded Marlow and both her illusions. When she found an opening, she sent her own blasts to push back the Mindless Ones. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Mindless Ones were pushed back and some knocked down. They started to get back up and the others kept coming. Lasers continued to shoot down the hall. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Akilah moved around the Marlow illusion and struck at some of the Mindless Ones with her magical energy whip while evading the lasers. It wasn't going to severely hurt them, but she figured it was enough of a distraction to lure the Mindless Ones into striking at Akilah, who was moving in such a way to try and make their attacks strike each other. 	Matt ducks around a corner to avoid a laser blast, then concentrates as he reaches for pure hellfire. He takes a deep breath, the runes on his staff glowing brightly. "GET DOWN!" he yells to Akilah. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

As soon as Akilah and Marlow's illusion are out of range, Matt steps into the corridor and turns his staff horizontally, the runes now blazing fully with barely contained power.

"FUEGO!" he screams, and the blast of hellfire erupts into the hallway, immolating anything in its path as it rushes toward the Mindless Ones. He can already feel the headache coming on as the force of his attack lifts him from his feet and throws him back in the direction they came.

He hits the ground and grunts, glad for the protection spells on his duster, yet again. His staff is still smoking, and everyone can smell the charred wood in the area.

"That," he says as he pulls himself to his feet, "is my boomstick."

	"Something doesn't feel right here," Marlow almost to herself as she increased her speed after her own illusion. "The magic doesn't feel right. It might be us..."
