Down Is Up, and Up Is Down
The Stark/Romanov Family Dinner. It was a study and exercise in insanity. They were usually loud, chaotic and entertaining to say the least. Natasha wasn't quite sure if she was up for this one or not. Her back was hurting and her ankles and feet were uncomfortably swollen. The good feeling of the second trimester was gone and the uncomfortable third was here. Though she wouldn't back out or tell Tony she didn't want to do it. They would have dinner and be entertained by the kids. Or so she hoped.

Picking a place was key, but this time she opted for Tony to get a private room at Delmonico's. Steak for the carnivores and private so that if things got loud they wouldn't embarrass themselves. And Natasha felt like dressing up a bit.

She had a new dress from Jan, a new pair of shoes and the earrings Tony gave her when she proposed to him.

When she and Tony were ready, he drove them to the restaurant. They even managed to beat the kids there.

Apparently, kids of this woman were popular in this neck of the woods. Which was strange to Stevie. She knew who Natasha was, from the files and all, but the so-called Black Widow was little more than a footnote where she was from.

"Definitely not from that side of the family," Stevie assured Eliza.

Stephanie? Okay, what the heck was going on there?

"Ah, good to be here... Tony," she replied.

Misha knew he was running late, but the last Danger Room simulation with the stealth suit had run overtime. With Justin's improvements, he was shaving seconds off his response time and the change in power source had given him extra fire power. It wasn't until the program shut down and he asked for the current time did he realize he had less than ninety minutes to shower, change into something appropriate and get into the city.

He was waved through to the private dining room by a respectful hostess who'd recognized him from previous visits and the media. He carried several paper wrapped flowers bunches he picked up from a corner bodega with him, one each for Mom, Anya and Eliza.

Entering the dining room, he went immediately to Natasha to kiss her cheek. The strange girl present didn't register on his tired brain. "Hi Mom."

	"Really? Sorry. It's just most of us other worldly kids in this family are Mom's. So it was unexpected. I'm Eliza," she offers Stevie a cheerful grin. She accepts the flowers with a smile. "Hi, honey," she said with a smile and returned the cheek kiss. "Thank you. They're beautiful." She was a little surprised he made it. "I'm glad you could make it."

Natasha didn't miss the tired look either. Maybe it was time to touch base with Logan and see what her son has been up to. Not like he would tell her.

"It was bound to happen at some point," Natasha told Eliza.

	"Sorry we're late," Anya said as she walked in with James. "Dork here drove and we almost ended up in Brooklyn," Anya said. She gave each of her parents a smooch to the cheek and a noogie for Misha before a smooch for him. Eliza got a warm smile and the new sister got a slightly forced smile. "Hello, honey." Tony smiles genuinely as Anya enters the room. He hugs her and offers his hand to James to shake. Misha receives a curt nod, though Tony finds himself annoyed that Misha looks like hell.

That would encourage Tasha to ask worry and ask questions, and the longer that went on, the closer she might to get to figuring things out. He could only hope Logan hadn't noticed, either.

	Misha was in the motion of handing Anya her flowers and pulling her hair for the noogie when he finally noticed the other girl and her not-so-sure words. "All right everyone, I have an announcement." Tony says, trying to get the attention of everyone in the room.

"Tonight, we have a new family member to introduce and I hope that you'll all make her feel as welcome as possible." Tony says, turning to Stephanie.

"Stephanie Barton, welcome to your family. We're here for you if you need anything at all." Tony says.

"Who wants to go first with introductions?" he asks.
