Zombiepocalypse
The moon was rising over the city of New Orleans, however, it wasn't the only thing rising in the city tonight. Corpses were rising from their resting places and starting to move through the city. Decaying flesh hung from rotting bones as they shambled through the streets. At first the tourists thought it was a joke or some sort of production, but when the zombies started grabbing tourists and started biting they knew otherwise.

Elsewhere restless spirits moved around and in their anger and anguish stirring up objects and moving them around. Some discarded trashed hit tourists and sent them running. The spirits were encouraged by this and became more and more violent.

The source of this unrest moved through the streets behind Baron Samedi in the form of a cult. He controlled the zombies and the spirits and they had summoned him. The leader of the cult was quite pleased at the chaos that was now present in the streets of New Orleans.

	The zombies continued their march through the streets not caring that some of their numbers were being mowed down by the chain of the Ghost Rider and some where falling into portals created by Irina. Nor did they notice others being sliced through by katanas. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Irina needed a way to take out more zombies than just a few at a time. She quickly looked around to see if there was something she could use. There. She opened a portal under a large delivery truck and opened the other end of the portal just over the heads of the zombies. Quite a few were smooched under it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The flames rise up around the bike as the hordes close in. Nick is grabbed, bitten and almost swarmed, fighting his way free with supernatural strength each time, continuing to try and make progress towards the source of real evil, not the zombies, but those who called them. 	After protecting a few civilians, Corey looked over at Nick. Suddenly, the Earth over there started arching, making a thin little bridge for the rider as the zombies started to fall down teh sides of the arch. 	Harmony realized that her uses of sound weren't going to do much against the walking dead so she turned her focus on protecting people, gathering up the sounds of things to build barriers that she hoped would at the least delay the zombies. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	There's an unearthly laugh as Corey's bridge clears Nick from the reach of the zombies. Then the Rider leaves the Defenders to their battles and their fates, and follows his demonic senses towards the cultists who caused this. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The zombie's numbers were thinning out. Behind them the cultists followed along with Baron Samedi. The guy with the flaming head concerned them. They stopped walking and commanded zombies to get between them and the Rider. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Rider charges at the ranks of zombies, chain swinging, trying to power his way through. The zombies weren't what he wanted, but if they were in the way, too bad. The Baron, however, shouldn't be here. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The numbers of zombies was decreasing rapidly. The Rider's chain sliced through them along with Lyta's sword and Irina's knives. Some were blocked by earthworks and the ones Argo took care of didn't rise again. The cultists saw the Rider coming and tried to flee. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Rider runs the first one down, not deadly - but general team requirements never said anything about some broken bones. His chain snaps another's ankle. He leaves the fallen for his teammates to collect - the cultists need to be stopped, and he's working at it - but the presence of the Baron draws him ever closer, even if a few cultists might scatter and escape. Two cultist stopped in their tracks and clutched their heads while screaming in pain.

The zombies were mindlessly attacking Argo and were being summarily destroyed by the Olympian.

Samedi, actually his avatar, on the other hand was not running and no bothered by the appearance of the Champions. He had an eerie smile on his face as his hands started to glow with magical energies. He shot it at the Rider.
