Kansas City here I come. (Force Works)
It hadn't been intentional but Jensen had arrived in Cowtown ahead of the rest of the group, a few days luxury that permitted her to get sorted out in their surroundings.  They had acquired the Western Auto building, the rental lofts converted and redone until the building was more than suitable for their purposes.  She didn't want to know how much money that acquisition had cost, as it appeared that the building was something of a landmark and desired loft space, but she was glad they had it.  It was a good location and, with serious next generation internet capabilities being brought to the twin KCs, everything was perfect.

Especially the food. She'd found a nearby Gates BBQ and that's what anyone who had shown up would smell as she hauled in bags of delicious meaty goodness.  She was going to make sure they had a classic Kansas City lunch.

Didn't want to come off as noobs.

Toni had garnered an awkward look from Harvey about the cereal, but he figured he'd just let it go.

"I can cook," Harvey said. he had to learn to cook while he was in this world and living on his own. Nobody was there to cook for him and he wasn't making enough money at the time to just buy a easily prepared or fast food.

"Good, then. I can cook, but I don't do it often. It's nice to know that we won't be entirely without food that doesn't come from a take out place."

Jensen smiled a bit. She didn't really eat much anymore, which was sad to her. Her body still required nutrients, but most of her energy came from battery. She didn't really like telling people that, though she suspected Harvey probably already knew. There was that port under her arm...

"We've got a very nice setup here."

"Uncle Tony really came through," Toni agreed.

"Well, this building was really conducive to doubling as an office and homebase for us. We've got a lot to work with here and, best of all, we've all got jobs." Justin tells the group.

"Not only that...but we're about to have a big-time breakthrough that's going to make us a ton of money in a short amount of time." he says.

"I can't talk about it just yet, but wait until the end of the month. With some help, I've got our first big invention out of the gate. It's really going to change the world for a lot of people." Justin tells them, taking another bite of his sandwich.

"That's rather cryptic, Justin. Fortunately I'm not particularly human and thus can be patient."

"Trust me, ladies and gentleman; this is going to put this company on the map, and then I've got a couple of other ideas in mind, like a new type of train that could eventually be used for cross-country travel." Justin says.

For a very brief moment, Toni frowned. She really did not like being the dumbest person in the room. Fortunately, she was able to hide that frown behind taking a drink.

"I'm not against making stuff better," Toni said, when she was done, "but just make sure you aren't putting people out of jobs in the process of doing it."

"Actually, Toni, if I get my way this is going to /create/ construction and manufacturing jobs for those who need them." Justin assures her.

"The more economic growth we can stimulate, the better we're doing."

"Kansas City has been arguing about light rail," Hannah offers. "Found it in a news file."

Toni nodded her approval. "Good," she said. "On both counts."
