Tessa stayed huddled in the corner even after the lights came back on. She watched Misha in his cell until they came and took him away. The guilty feeling got worse when they dragged him out of the cell and took him away. Tessa knew where they were taking him and what they were going to do to him.

There had to be a way to help him and his brother even from within this cell. The question was what could she do from in here and with her powers. It wasn't like she could blast her way out or even use her powers on the guards in the immediate area.

Tessa stood up and started pacing. There had to be a way out of here. Nothing was escape proof. She just had to think this through. While anyone wouldn't consider her a genius, she wasn't an idiot either and wasn't a mass of flesh like Nicholas. Given time she could figure things out on her own. The problem was she didn't know how much time she had before they came to get her for reprogramming.

Before a plan or an idea could take root in her head, the lock on the door to her cell clicked open. Cautiously she approached the door and tried it. It opened and she took a hesitant step into the hallway. Not a guard in sight. This was definitely unexpected and she wondered if it was a setup. Now she was just waiting for Nicholas to appear out of nowhere and kill her while she was 'attempting to escape' or some other thin excuse like that.

While she had some temporary freedom, she may as well try to get the younger Logan kid out of his cell and try to get him out of the complex. Carefully and very cautiously she walked over to his cell.

	With David out of the way, Misha didn't wait for Tessa to open the cell locks. The cells they'd checked so far were empty, and Misha was heading back into the main building. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Nicholas drags Tessa back to where she needs to be for the frame up. He'd rather just have been able to go straight for Misha, but after all the drugs, and all they still have planned for him, the X-er isn't in top form anyway, not the challenge he really wants, and has been promised... eventually.

Keeping her out of sight for the moment, he rushes towards the cell blocks, picking up speed as he sees Misha, going for the shoulder tackle.

	He wasn't at top performance, but he was close enough to welcome the chance to knock some sense into the other man. Misha forgot about the Alpha Flight bear when he caught sight of Nicholas heading for him. He ran, or what felt like running to his scrambled brain. Straight for him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Misha is everything he was hyped to be, Nicholas has to give him that. He grunts with the impact, and takes a couple swings of his own, each young man's power rather neatly making up for the other's. 	Misha took the hit and backed up to come at the guy another way. He was going to take some damage before he found himself in tune with the fighting style used. "It's called being a well rounded individual. You might try it some time. Girls love it." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Nicholas' fighting style, based on his own empathy, is almost as adaptive as Misha's, reading the impressions off an opponent's mind. Each time a move is made, he's there with a counter, when he senses the slightest hesitation through it,m he attacks viciously, his powers rebuilt and retrained with the intent of making the perfect hand to hand combatant - which, of course, puts him as naturally at odds with Misha as their dads' abilities ever did.
He lunges and feints, feeling out Misha, trying to push him into attacking again. "Tessa certainly did. Tsk, never should have sent her."

His eyes narrowed, but he didn't rush to attack. "One of many. Jealous?" He stopped following and waited. Weapon X training was an awful lot like the training he'd gotten from Dad. They weren't going to get anywhere. He had to stop waiting and shift first.

He gestured 'come on' to Nicholas. "What's holding you back? They tell you not to break me? Somebody pulling your strings because they know you can't win?"

Nicholas is many things, but a stupid fighter isn't one of them. He continues to stick with snap jabs, quick punches, feints, attacking, but not too hard, trying to feel out his opponent, keep him on his guard, and get some attacks in return.

"That's the fun part, deadmeat. They think they might have finally found someone who can keep up with me, and they're curious. Some of them think you'd be the best leader Weapon X ever had, funny that. As for Tess, you can have her. Waste of potential."

Misha followed the series of strikes until he was leading them, letting go of conscious thought in favor of muscle memory. Fact was, he didn't have too many opponents he could go at flat out and not hurt them. Under different circumstances, he could've been having a lot of fun.

"I'm not interested in leading Weapon X, dumbass," he growled as he returned a volley of quick punches. "Leave Tessa out of it."

So far, he's trading punches well, his empathy and Misha's muscle memories countering each other well, with neither having the clear advantage. He lands some blows, but gets hit at least as often.
"The directors didn't figure you would be. Your family is stubborn that way. Hence the convincing. Wasn't my idea to recruit you, but glad to be along for the ride. As for Tessa, already left her.../ bet she's bleeding out in the hallway about now."

	The deep rumbling and shaking of the building caused by one of the intruders brough Tessa back to conscious. Nicholas. She had to stop him before he hurt Misha too badly. The lights flickered and Tessa could feel the panic threatening to well up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The shaking meant Misha had to get fancy to stay on his feet. Dancing lessons paid off in a big way. He used the wall to catch and keep his balance, kicking out to ram his foot against Nicholas' knee and force the joint. "Looks like somebody else wants into your little club," he snarled. Nicholas picks up the impression in time to keep the kick from being devastating, but it still hurts. He responds with a snap punch aimed to try and break Misha's nose.
"That's more like it. Come on and take your best shot, boy." He knows Tessa is nearby, and she'll head for the lights of this section. Just a little more time and they'll have it, much as he's going to hate to leave this fight unfinished.

	Nicholas dives backwards. "Now." he hisses into coms. Suddenly the lights go out entirely. His Weapon X conditioning and nature of his powers makes him somewhat resistant to Tessa's powers and he knows it - they figured enough to cope with her projection, but definitely not her touch. 	Nicholas grabs the nightvision goggles from his pouches. He knows the place and came prepared. Locating Tessa, he goes to work, attacking savagely and quickly. He's not sure if her healing factor will fix this or not, and it really doesn't matter. As soon as she stops moving or struggling, he pushes her at Misha and bugs out. 	The attack came without warning and Tessa was caught under the barrage of fists. Within a moment she could feel the warm blood on her face and the bones in her face breaking. Then she was grabbed and shoved forward where more fists connected with her face. She didn't even have the chance to cry out or beg them to stop. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
