Knowhere Station
The Guardians of the Galaxy had managed to make it back to Knowhere Station with their guests, the X-Men and one Shi'art citizen. The visitors were shown to temporary quarters and given a chance to rest a bit after their battle.

The next day they were asked to meet in a conference room.

Alex had arrived before any of the others, waiting carefully while he went over some memos. A number of prominent sponsors of Knowhere had been asked to take holding positions near the station. It was likely that the Imperial Guard knew they'd taken the princeling there, but thus far, the galactic chatter was that the Shi'ar were going to significant lengths to keep matters internal.

When Fred had chosen to take refuge with the X-Men, it had merely been to acquire a safe haven from which he could continue his research. However..being on some space station, light years away from Earth? This was way outside Friedrich's realm of possibilities. He felt uneasy, jittery. A hand in his pocket, fingering with his medicine bottle. It was if holding it in his hand was in and of itself a calming influence.

"Alright, looks like everyone's here who's going to be here." Alex speaks up, standing from his seat.

"As best our reports can tell at this point, there's been some manner of insurrection on Chandilar, and Empress Lilandra has been, if not in title than at least in authority, dethroned. No confirmation yet on who dispatched the Imperial Guard to retrieve his highness." He nods to Starbridge.

"So if anyone has ideas other than storming the throneworld of one of the major powers in the galaxy in search of a prisoner we have no idea where they're being held, I'm welcome to them."

Alex has been quiet for a minute, analyzing the resources at hand.

"Alright, here's the plan." He makes sure he has everyone's attention as he brings up a map of space around Chandilar.

"Our diplomatic credentials and the standard free-space laws will allow us to get fairly close, cosmically speaking, to the planet. With myself, his Imperial Highness, and the Phoenix-wielder, we can create a strong enough telepathic spike to reach Lilandra. Iason and anyone who can operate long range weaponry will approach on a different vector and cause as much noise as possible. Azura, you're with myself and the others. We're going to need to create a mental circuit with the time gem to speed up our search and get as much information from Lilandra in as little time as possible."
