Well, that'd been a fun little jaunt uptown. Here was hoping it would put some ideas in the girl's head that his new buddy could make use of. Or not. Maybe it wasn't that kind of story. And of course, the Thinker hadn't been able to take down Alpha Flight. No harm, no harm. All just interlude. Just softening up.
But waltzing up to a base in the middle of nowhere, of course, isn't Zeb's style. Too vulnerable, not enough leverage. So he's in town, cozy in a restaurant he's properly taken over, having analyzed a few choice haunts, keeping an eye out for any of Kara's girl's little friends.

He dialed the phone.

	Mason keeps his own mouth shut as well and just complies immediately. Methoxyflurane, in as high a concentration as he feels safe with, forms a line away from him, before expanding into a larger 'cloud' around the hostages and his teammates as instructed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The hostages still out to to attack do fall unconscious. And no one else is coming out. And the insane crowing sort of look in Killgrave's eyes falters as he realizes it may be punching time soon. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jordan isn't about to start inhaling to shout any more orders - or give the villain any warning. He settles for figuring Nim will get the idea, and dials up a fastball special, grabbing her and flinging her the right direction, knowing Killgrave is watching Jordan for any approach, but likely won't be expecting that. 	Killgrave is indeed surprised to have the atlantean hurled toward him instead of a charge. And that attack is flanked by hippo. His prisoners are unconscious or being detoxed. He has nothing to hide behind. And the self-proclaimed pre-eminently genre-savvy comic book villain goes down between them with lots of not-in-the-face wincingness. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
