Regrouping
Kal flew the ship to the rendezvous point to meet up with the other team. The affects of the time distortion were quite evident on the faces and in the hair of the members of her team. They all had more wrinkles and gray in their hair. Some were a little worse than others.

She brought the ship down on the small planet and they waited for the others.

	Azura went for the big guy. Technically he was her grandfather, but that fact wouldn't stop her from attacking him. With Godslayer drawn, she attacked. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Buck was already charging Thanos, and now notices Azura joining in. It may leave some openings for the guard, but at least it might give them a chance of temporarily flanking the mad Titan. He's wishing he'd coordinated this a little better, but he could only guess as to the forces against them, and didn't know Thanos would be present in person. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Buck knows Azura and Godslayer will be viewed as the bigger threat. He's a mere mortal, and all. A mere mortal who still understands leverage, momentum and surprise. She kicks high, he goes low, trying to sweep Thanos' legs while he's dealing with Azura. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

With a few exceptions, even Eternals must obey the laws of physics, and Thanos in this instance is no exception. The Terran does catch him by surprise, and the force of Azura's blow is sufficient. He falls backwards.

He keeps his grip on Godslayer, however, attempting to wrest it from his granddaughter's hands. For good measure, he lets loose a pulse of energy with both hands, and it cascades out around him. He has no doubt the sword can take the punishment, but he is eager to learn if the other combatants can.

	Buck manages to curl up behind the energy shield in time to not suffer the worst effects, but is still singed and sent flying by the blast, leaving Azura on her own for a few seconds. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thanos' head rocks back again, but without the tandem assault, he stays standing. He grabs the wrist connected to the hand of Azura's still on Godslayer, and swings her like a flail, intent on slamming her into the ground. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Buck manages to kippup back to his feet, going to his bag of tricks. The first is a concussive grenade tossed at Thanos' back while his attention is on Azura, trusting Thanos' bulk to shield Azura, and then a smoke grenade tossed into the midst of their melee to give Azura a chance to get some room. "You know, your mother would say she'd have to fight one-handed to make things sporting... shall we put that to the test, child?" Thanos sneers as he lays his boot across Azura's shoulder and tightens his grip on her arm, preparing to pull.

The strike of the grenades does surprise him, and the torture is postponed, as he begins blasting through the smoke. "Puny Terran! You lack even the Captain's courage!"

	Well, he got Thanos to close his eyes - gives them another edge. He waits til Azura launches into her kick, and flings an explosive diamond at Thanos' feet, trying to help unbalance him and take him off his feet again. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Buck sees the charge coming, and holds his ground. Thanos has an awful lot more strength, weight and momentum than Buck could match - so with a little aikido, and a little WWE, he tries to use all that power to turn Thanos' charge into an arm drag takedown and slam him face-first into the ground with Thanos' own strength - still trying to create openings for Azura. 	It's a good plan, but Thanos has never been one to trust even favorable odds. Blasts of energy ignite beneath his feet barely a moment after they leave the ground, and he takes off, grappling with the human as he laughs. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Buck knows a thing or ten about hand to hand, having to rely on that skill, since he lacks the array of powers and tools Thanos has. His move may not have worked, but he still works his way free, hitting the ground rolling out of Thanos' grip, launching a trio of diamonds at the airborne Titan. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Godslayer meets flesh this time, cleaving through Thanos' calve like a scalpel. He lets out a hiss of pain, before unleashing blasts at both of his opponents. These gnats were beginning to try his patience. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Its taking the both of them, but they're keeping him busy. Buck gets the shield up in time to avoid being vaporized by the blast, though the impact still nearly dislocates his shoulder, and he can feel the burn around the edge of the energy shield.

"Power levels at 41 percent." it informs him.

No time to think about that now, Buck ducks and rolls, flinging a pair of explosive diamonds - one for the eyes - which he knows won't do anything, but attacks at the eyes tend to get attention - and the real one, trying to lodge the explosive in the slender cut Godslayer made in Thanos' leg.
