Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
Each year toward the end of December people come together with friends and family to celebrate and exchange gifts. The atmosphere is light, merry and there is plenty of cheer to go around. Holiday music fills the air while bright colorful lights light up the nights. Mistletoe is placed in strategic locations and people are willing caught under it.

It's a time of celebration, even for superheroes.

The Avengers mansion was decked to the hilt and an impressive spread of food had been catered for the holiday party. The Avengers were hosting and had invited the Thunderbolts, West Coast Avengers and the Defenders.

Anya wouldn't have missed it for the world. It did take some schedule juggling by Sunny, but she had made it. She was dressed in red (of course) and made her way around the crowd.

Martin was not a party person, crowds weren't his thing. But he'd been doing better with them and this wasn't too too big a crowd, and he knew enough people. So he'd decided to show up to meet all the interesting heroes.

He sat atop his usual floating blue disc, usual attire except a festive red bowtie added, hovering in the air as he 'fixed' the decorations, adding that magical touch that was so needed he felt. He wondered if he could get a small snow effect just on top of the Christmas tree.

	"I'm fixing it," he said matter-of-factly without looking over, just being more cautious with his handwaving. "You don't have anyone to do the magic stuff, so I'm doing it for you." There was now a red swirling light effect about the tree, that then switched to green, and back. "I'm trying to get it to snow on the tree." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"It did. I also added some magic effects to other decorations. You're welcome, so don't worry. And anyway, it's not real snow, it's magic snow, so no melting and making puddles. I'll get rid of it afterwards so he won't need to clean." As he spoke he fished around his hat for a smaller spellbook and began telekinetically flipping through to look for the snow spell. 	Svalin was grateful for the holiday party. It would give her wife a much needed distraction from the upcoming solstice. Not to mention it was always nice to see other people on other teams. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Sarita didn't really have much in the way of formal-wear so she hoped she looked okay. This was all so new to her and found herself wandering a little aimlessly down the halls. That's when she saw Mike. She didn't really know him that well, but he was still a teammate and somewhat familiar. "Hi," she greeted in what she hoped was a friendly tone. 	Marlow hummed an off-tune carol to herself as she wandered through Avengers mansion creating illusions of mistletoe in a multitude of places, both expected and unexpected. Selected bunches of mistletoe illusions would follow random people around as well. Because everyone should have Christmas kisses. (Reply to this)(Parent)
