Disruptions (bendytimed to before Brides of Set finale)
Chris' eyes opened sharply, the trance over her breaking. The people at large, and most of the honor guard, had had their resolve shaken by the outsiders' actions. The connection with the energy that fueled their civilization was disrupted. The stream of light cut off abruptly, and Chris sat up.

"...what?" She blinked, holding her head. The rattling of the jewlery that had been placed on her prompted her to open her eyes. "I... where am I? Who the hell... this... why am I tarted up like tribal fetish Barbie?!" She screamed, rolling off the altar, transforming back to her human form in her disorientation.

"You don't understand! Cracked Claw isn't as... tolerant as the rest of the honor guard or Elder Shadow. He never supported the idea of transforming all the humans." Her gaze narrows.

"He's going to enact the Ritual of Cleansing. He wants to reclaim the surface world, and he'll sacrifice your friend's life to enact it, now that he doesn't have the will of the people to fuel the ceremony. I can help you fight him."

Golden Eyes ignores Cait's comment, imploring further.

"It doesn't matter if you don't let me go, but I'm offering to help. Just restrain Cracked Claw. It won't be easy though. He's our most powerful... your word would be 'druid' in generations, and while Elder Shadow is incapacitated, he can draw on his power as well."

She looks at them plaintively. "I was only trying to protect my people, the same you'd want for yours. More than anything, I don't want anyone hurt. Anything that happened to you because of us we would have healed to the best of our ability. People... all of your people, are going to die if we don't stop Cracked Claw."

Lucas looks at her sadly. "I was trying to prevent violence and protect your people." he responds with a sigh. "You chose violence. If your wish is to not see anyone hurt, stop trying to hurt them."

Still, her agreement to remain a captive convinces him at least that stopping Cracked Claw is the answer.

He steps away from the pair and heads for Cracked Claw as he pursues Molly and Chris, imploring Father Sky to help him one more time.

The call is answered, and again, he has the voice of thunder. "CRACKED CLAW! I challenge you. Let us see how powerful your magic is."
