How often do you find it worth it to try to explain yourself to your parents?

I sometimes do and sometimes don't.  Obviously, there's a lot of stuff they need to be kept up on, and they've got great insight about specific things, but on some personal stuff, can be easier to just let them make assumptions, you know?  They've got Stuff to do, and they don't need details or clarifications.

... yyeaaaah, there's a whole lot of stuff Daddy never needs to get wind of that I've done. Not bad stuff, just... Well, I really don't need Daddy putting together a list of boys to 'speak' with.

Mom's more level-headed, but she's just... well, a little too innocent to really open up to too much.

So generally not worth the trouble of trying to explain, huh?

I can talk to Mom and Dad about anything, and they always listen to everything I have to say.

They're awesome like that.

It's not that I dislike my parents, they're just so... well, they enjoy the mundane far more than I can relate to. It usually leaves us at cross purposes when we speak about anything longer than the usual pleasantries.

I can bet that could be trouble. Heck, I talk at cross purposes with my parents a lot, and I do take after them some.

I guess it's the scientist in him, but Daddy always seems to think there's a fix for everything. I know, I know. 'that's a dad's job', but he kind of overanalyzes at times.

Mom is good about just listening when I need to talk.

Mother and I rarely spoke, but she was forthcoming in her responses to any questions I had about magic.

As Kristoff has already mentioned... there are many things not to say to my birth father. Much like him, I said them anyway.

Kristoff on the other hand, has never been difficult to speak to, although a great many things have likely been difficult for him to hear.

I share much with my father, but there are times when it is better to speak with Cassandra or Mrs. Richards.

Talking to my parents is pretty easy. Talking to Namor... that's a different story. But he's trying.

Mom and Dad are pretty with it... though unlike my sister, some of us have things we'd like to keep private.

Daddy's great, except for the stuff he doesn't get on account of being a robot. And Mom picks up pretty much everything he can't.

Of course... sometimes I kinda wish I had somebody to talk to about being Biaylan. Mom and Dad do their best, and I'm pretty much American and all... But there's stuff they're just not gonna get.

Talking to Mother is easy, when I want no-nonsense advice. It's never free advice, but it is always useful.

I've never spoken to my father, but I hope to change that someday.

Dad was tough, but fair. He was pretty cool to talk to.

Mom...has to really be coaxed into talking, like with a sparring match. Carter, strangely enough, is easy to talk to, but he sees the world in a couple of colors, and that's how it is.

My parents left me when I was little, so talking to them was out. Gran is always good for wisdom and an inspiring story.

Jake doesn't lie and doesn't sugarcoat things. I miss him a lot.

The only adult I'm really close to is Tina. She's been nice to me.

My parents sold me, so I'm not sure what I'd say to them if I saw them. Mr. Summers is really cool, though. So is Mrs. Summers.

There are things I tell Mom and things I tell Dad. Both sets of things are very different and often contradictory. If they compared notes more often, I'd be in lots of trouble.

As it is, I'm just in a little trouble, usually.
