Welcome to Omega

Urdrex checks his weapon again and watches from his position next to Cyrus as the ship pulls into the fire red planet that is Omega. Urdrex has been here a thousand times, and somehow, the place never becomes any more pleasant. In fact, it really only seems to get worse. He'd rather not take the kids, but the Elusive Man wants to see all of them at once, all together.

He will call everyone to the Normandy's War Room while Cyrus getting the ship docked and ready to go.

"Okay, listen up. Some of you may not have been here before, so you need to know some things. First, keep the young ones, Cyrus and Mar'i, in sight at all times. Especially Mar'i. In fact, you'd do well to watch out, too, Katima. There are slavers here who wouldn't mind tryin' to capture and sell all of you off to harems on planets that make this one seem like a resort." Urdrex says, checking his weapons for the seventh time in two minutes. Anyone who knows him knows that this is the equivalent of him pacing the floors nervously.

"Go to the bar, ask for Aria, get into the Holosuite, and listen to the Elusive Man. Again, if you see a Green Lantern, do /not/ attract its attention. You see a Blue Lantern, do /not/ attract its attention.

Anybody got any questions before you move out?" he asks.

Wait. Aira? Aira T'Loak. The asari?" He looks surprised then nods.

"She's good people. You know. For the head honcho Queen in Name Only of the whole planet. She knows everything there is to know about Omega and.... Other places in this sector. If you get a chance you should try and get her as a contact. If she likes you? She's damn helpful," Cyrus chirps.

Then he makes a slight gulping sound. "I thought I was just the pilot for this whole thing."

"You'll be fine, I'm sure, Cyrus," Aleea assured him. She checked her own ray gun, before returning it to its holster.

Such a different place than Rann, this planet. Perhaps she idolized her homeworld too much, but she considered it pretty close to perfect. This place... well, what was the phrase her Dad had once used to describe Thanagar (before getting embarrassed about it)? A wretched hive of scum and villainy? It seemed to fit here.

	"No one's going to touch you, Mar'i and no slaver with harem-minded intent is going to touch either of us. I'm not going to let anyone touch you and I'm pretty sure Alerron won't either." "You worry too much, Urdrex." Alerron says. The sun here is yellow, which is a good thing. It means that Alerron is equipped to deal with anyone or anything that means them harm.

"Mar'i, I would rather have you with us than here on the ship. If Cyrus is coming, then you shall. I want you to hear what this Elusive Man has to say regarding Mother and my father." Alerron tells her.

"We are ready to go now." Alerron says, making his way to the door. The warnings here serve little purpose for him. He does not fear anything this planet has to offer.

Urdrex nods at Cyrus. "Yeah, T'Loak. The Elusive Man doesn't really like dealin' with her, but even he's had trouble gettin' people into her organization on Omega. Don't worry, though. She knows better than to double-cross the Man." Urdrex says.

He admires the Ungarans and Rannian's fearlessness, but the Daxamite tweaks something in the Krogan. The kid might make for a good fight if he doesn't get himself killed first.

"Cyrus, if anything goes wrong, you call me and I'll come in. Hunt well, all of you and come back in one piece." Urdrex says.

	Cyrus blinks at the way Urdex still seems to be protective of him. Then he notes that has never really changed. Being so obviously young as made it obvious he hasn't been on his own for long. "Yes sir. We'll keep our eyes open and just get to Aria's in one piece. Shouldn't be too hard." Did he just jinx them? (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Inside Club Afterlife

The group proceeds to Club Afterlife, a den of sin and inequity far removed from what many in the universe will experience in their lifetimes.

The rhythmic pulse of the music almost drowns out the hungry sounds of the crowd as they enter. These people want fulfillment, want life, want energy, they want everything. Yet they cannot find what they seek.

When the team enters, they are approached by a human who points to a raised platform at the North end of the club.

"Aria will see you there." he says and begins walking.

	Aleea considered herself far from sheltered. She'd been on the front lines against all kinds of space tyrants who had tried to conquer Rann and rallied against all kinds of mysteries in space. 	Mar'i wasn't too crazy about some of the people here. Actually, she wasn't too crazy about any of them, as the whole place just gave her the creeps. She followed along with others, sticking close to her brother and Katima. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Huh. So she's in that over view place," Cyrus mutters. He is somewhat familiar with Omega it seems. Which might be why he is more weary than one would expect. He doesn't really think about sticking close to the team he just starts to make his way through the crowd towards a stair case that would lead them up the raised play form.

He wishes they didn't have to be here this place makes him uncomfortable.

	Alerron manages to get most of the sentients in the area to back off with a glance, but a few of the mercenary types don't seem put off by the Daxamite-Tamaranean's appearance. The sounds disturb his hearing, but he's learned not to Listen too hard. He follows the group to the dais area where Aria T'Loak waits for all of them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Aria T'Loak sits on a plush chair, elegantly smoking a death-stick as she watches the team approach. The Rannian catches her eye first, but Daxamite holds her attention. He would make a fabulous killer, if harnessed well.

When they have come close enough, they are escorted into Aria's presence. None of them are asked to remove any weapons that they may have, though Aria herself does not appear to have any either.

"Welcome to Omega. I assume you are the group the Elusive Man has sent to use my holo-room? He's paying a hefty fee for it, so take all the time you need. But I'll ask for something in return from you.

The Daxamite will perform a service for me at the time and place of my choosing, no questions asked." she says, pointing at Alerron.

	Aria T'Loak waits for the team as they exit the holoroom. She approaches Alerron and hands him a datapad. "I'm certain you'll find what I'm seeking in your travels." she smiles coyly at the Daxamite, adding an extra bit of swing to her hips as she walks away. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Alerron reads over the datapad and grimaces, crushing the item in his hand. "Come, we must go." he says simply, not bothering to look at Aria again. He's not certain that he can keep himself from vaporizing her with one of his starbolts if he does. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
