The Great White North
A blizzard covered northern Canada in white, but it wasn't the only thing causing problems. Alpha Flight was correct when they mentioned that the Great Beasts were in fact more than one and usually showed up at the same time.

Tanaraq left a path of destruction in his wake as he made his way toward the more populous areas.

Not too far from Taranaq, Kolomaq left a similar path of destruction in his wake.

"Alright, I have a plan. Lucas is going to be trying to prepare something to keep them asleep once we put them down. No help in the fights. Nim, your family has some resistance to cold, I believe, and Alex can. Mason, you're with them to try and slow down Kolomaq. Lucas will be trying to lend some mystic help to limit his elemental control, but that's secondary.

Moira, you're with me. Wolfpack tactics. We keep Tanaraq turning and off balance. Don't stay close for long, and let me take the worst of the hits, just don't let him stay on me too long.

Mel, you're key to my plan. Stay out of sight - and try and calm him down while Moira and I extend the fight. If we can get him raging, and then settle him down, his own adrenaline kick ought to help slow him to a crawl."

	Kolomaq would be lying if he said Tundra's defeat didn't please him. It would be an even bigger lie to say he didn't relish the chance to do what the Beast of Earth could not. So his rampage had an almost gleeful ferocity to it, as the weather seemed to shift even colder in response to the Beast's mood. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	"Well, you stole my intro..." Mason smirks at his girlfriend, as he starts coming in at yet another angle. He pulls a flask of water out and sticks his finger in it, altering the composition caaaarefully. Then, he corks it and flings it at Kolomaq. Think nitroglycerin, but angrier. Kolomaq turned to see who dared before Nim's blow rocked him, distracting him long enough for Alex's blow to hit. The Great Beast snarled in anger, about to react when Mason's makeshift bomb went off, covering the whole area in smoke and snow. At first nothing could be seen, but then the dust settled...

"Was that all?" The Beast asked, before roaring, summoning up an immense blizzard that not only made it hard to see, but also with powerful winds blowing it. Kolomaq however, was not so impeded. He dashed through the storm, intending to come down on Nim with a powerful axehandle blow.

Nim's eyes need almost no light to see, being adapted to being able to see on the ocean floor, even without her sonar. But the snow played havoc with both of those things, leaving only her other senses to keep her stready.
She heard the footsteps and took to the air, catching enough of the blow to send her flying into a snowbank, without taking the fullness of the hit.

	Tanaraq was also pleased that Tundra had been defeated. He would do what Tundra couldn't and with any luck Kolomaq would be defeated as well leaving Tanaraq free. He grabbed a car and threw it into a building. The small town he had just entered offered no resistance and no challenge. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Jordan leads the charge against Tanaraq. That the beast is one of the few things that could really hurt him doesn't matter, it has to be done. With only one surprise attack, he tries to make the best of it, coming in low and fast, charging for Tanaraq's side. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Painful but, nonetheless, perfect. Jordan takes the hit, being sent flying - but not near as far as he should have. Shaking it off, he's back to his feet and right back towards Tanaraq, trying to flank with Moira so the beast can only attack one of them at a time, and to do so will leave him open to the other. 	The claws were an annoyance, but enough of one that he swatted at the wolfgirl when she came near. That opened him up to Jordan's hit that wasn't an annoyance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
