Thanksgiving!
Halloween was incredible, of course, but Ohu is having a hard time thinking of a better holiday than Thanksgiving. There is food! And there's more food! And then dessert... and all kinds of more food.

Ohu has been very careful not to eat all the food as he helped cook dinner and dessert for the Defenders, and worked hard to make certain everything was ready. This would be a feast fit for gods and their favored friends. After everything that Sydney did for the main course, it was the least he could do to make certain dessert was taken care of.

"Dessert is served!" he declares to the base as he places the last pie on the table.

	There are several dozen pies and cheesecakes in a variety of flavors. Apple pies, pumpkin pies, mincemeat pies, lemon meringue, orange meringue, eight different flavors of cheesecake... Ohu's mind races.

He cannot challenge his father to a riddle contest. His father would win. He cannot challenge him to a contest of wits. His father has outwitted all he has faced.

He must challenge his father to a contest that plays to his own strengths! And the strengths of the team!

"Then a challenge of precognition!" he declares. Ohu knows his father has some skill at seeing into the future, but none are as skilled as Sees Danger, any more than none are softer than Ohu's sibling Cushion.

He glances to Halbjorn. "And one of strength!"

Then to Svalin. "Combat!"

Aradis. "Archery!"

Griffen. "Technology!"

Simon. "Acting!"

Aslief. "Snark!"

Argo. "Wenching!"

Zoey. "Fingerpainting!"

Syd. "Disapproving gazes!"

Marlow. "Uh... eyeliner?"

He glances back over the last few. Okay, so he was running out of ideas. At least he knows they're better at those tasks than his father.

He glances at his father again, and reconsiders the challenge he thought of for Syd.

Griffen blinks at the list Ohu gave. Then wonders just how he will convince a god he is using technology and not magic.

And then he wonders how eyeliner can be a challenge. He also thinks that Zoey might win if only because she is a child and children do childlike things much better than adults ever could.

And really? He sees this as a rather interesting situation and perhaps fun but he will never admit that to ANYONE.

Ohu sits and waits nervously while the other three teams are handling the missions.

He knows how they could get each of them. His father retrieved the Mmoboro hornets by convincing them it was raining and sealing them in a calabash. He retrieved Onini by tricking him to measure himself against a stick and tying him to it. And he retrieved Mmoatia by setting out a doll made of sticky wax; when Mmoatia slapped it for being rude and refusing to speak to her, she became stuck fast.

But none of the heroes know the stories of his father. They should... Ohu has been lax in his duties. He should be telling stories of his line, but he's been having too much fun.

And that fun is now about to come to an end.

His father watches a scrying pool, observing each of the three teams, but Ohu can't bring himself to watch.
