[Chase stared at the parallel bars set up in front of him, his wheelchair pointed toward one of the open ends of it. He was supposed to be waiting for a nurse or some kind of spotter before doing this but the Crow couldn't stand being in the damn wheelchair a moment longer. He hated being helpless like this and having to rely on others for so much of what he used to be able to do on his own.

A glance at the door and he put the locks on the wheels, grabbing both bars as his feet set on the ground. It felt odd, the floor under his bare feet again and Chase looked down at them only to give a rueful laugh. They looked pale and weak, but he hadn't lost much muscle mass in his legs which was something he was thankful for. His arms he needed to tone again what with not being able to lift weights because of his ribs. At least he could do that now in his wheelchair, the doctors said his ribs were as good as new again but to lay off doing any squats with them for a few more months.

But he dallied long enough, hoisting himself up onto his feet and pushed up with them as well. Immediately they started to give, knees buckling and hurting. Chase bit back a curse and pulled himself up again, arms shaking with the effort but he managed to support his weight long enough to lock his knees. Even if he was panting with the effort.]

Ha... This'll be longer than I thought...

	That does make things a little easier now... [Wandering inside after Chase, letting go of the handles when he starts wheeling himself so he can shut the door. --did Chase already show him how to operate the talismans? If so, he's probably reactivating them.] (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

[Probably taught him how by now, and it does seem like Bike is going to use the talismans to keep Allen and Seren safe and out of harm's way. And Allen won't be able to deactivate those, Lavi's will have a different lock that Lavi would have to teach Allen himself.

Zane is in the house, Deke dropped him off earlier, and runs up barking, jumping in Chase's lap.] Yeah, yeah. 'm back, Zane. Dinna Deke teach ya no' ta do tha'? [Putting up with the dog kisses, though.]

Zane makes him smile, though, and Allen wanders over, reaching down to pat the dog's head.</i>]</small> He missed you. [Though Allen pauses a little at Deke's scent being in the room, and Chase mentioning his name. Chase said he couldn't stick around when he was going after Lavi, but Deke was allowed near his family with his psychotic boyfriend?]

The puppy, distracted by pets, licks at Allen's hand.] Have ta admit that even I missed'im a bit. [Deke's scent is only lightly in the room, mostly on Zane which is why it's in there in the first place.]

Trust'im enough ta train Zane, he ken speak ta animals. Why, wha's wrong, Allen? [Looking up at him.]

[He certainly hopes so. But he won't be happy with Chase using Lavi like that. :T

He killed someone important to me. [doesn't much care whether the scent is on Zane or not. He lost all trust and respect for Deke after the incident with Danny.] Someone just as harmless and sweet as Seren.

	[They haven't changed for Chase, not really, have they? He's still just using Lavi. :T Good Zane. Best puppy. He's holding and petting Zane, but when Chase reaches up he stops so Chase can take his hand.] It was awhile ago... But Deke stayed with him, knowing he was dangerous. If Lavi had stayed dangerous, there's a good chance he wouldn't think poorly of Deke. But that's not the case; the angry spirits all around Danny were proof of that. Danny wasn't only dangerous, he was unstable, unpredictable. Fine one moment and a cold-blooded killer the next. It's completely different from Lavi being an Akuma temporarily, and it never happening again.]

And sometimes you protect the people you love instead. [Like Chase did for Seren by making Allen leave. Like Allen did for the both of them by only going near Lavi during that time. But he doesn't try to stop Chase as he lets go of his hand and starts rolling away.] ...do you need help?

He had that part of him blocked off, he wouldn't have been dangerous anymore. But no one would believe him. Never gave him a chance. So now Deke is in the DR by himself raising a kid.

Chase will hold to the idea that it's because he told him to do that. Otherwise he would've kept coming back.] Might, jus' keep yer ears peeled.

[Doesn't...want Allen in the bathroom unless necessary. All those memories.]

Unfortunately, Allen never got to find that out. And he may not have forgiven him, but he might not have thought he was dangerous. But there's no way for him to find that out now.

He probably wouldn't have unless he needed to, actually. It's the only reason he showed up that night - he couldn't do anything about his back. Needed the help.

[Which is why she's another good reason to keep him there. And what if Fourteenth kills them both and hunts down Allen and Seren while they're dead? They'll have the ofuda protecting them and Lavi's aid. And...probably Cade (Kanda's Lavi) because they can't leave him alone either. Though. God. He might freak out a bit at Allen.

He's not coming back, either. He's gone for good.

Chase enjoyed having sex in there with Allen. It's just having him in there at the same time that he's naked and...his memory being what it is. Allen's scent could trigger it and...it could end either good or bad. Not sure Allen would have sex with him right now, though.

Wheeling himself into his room Chase gets out some clean clothes and keeps them in his lap, going into the bathroom and grabbing a towel too. It takes a bit of manuvering with him leaving them in the locked wheelchair as he steps fully clothed into the (off) shower. Stripping in there then tossing the clothes out so he can bathe. So far it's going off without a hitch, Chase is just tired when he's done. Exhausted again and barely gets himself dry.]

Poor Danny.

He. He might. But. Sob. Not the way they did... the last time. He wouldn't let Chase put that much strain on his body right now, would need to drag him to the bed or just put him in a position where he could handle things.

Waiting patiently as Chase showers, mostly playing with Zane in the meantime. Though he tilts his head a little at the way Chase is having difficulty getting himself dry..

Calling out a little,] Are you okay..?

[Cade's Allen was consumed by Fourteenth right in front of him and it kind of broke the Bookman. So now he freaks out at Allens/Fourteenths. He'd probably cling to Lavi the entire time.

No, not like that. But Chase's libido isn't that bad, thankfully. He'd be able to control the impulse but Allen would know about it and that would make it worse. Plus, he's not sure that they should even go that way just yet.

The puppy wants to show him that he can play fetch now! 8D That'll probably entertain Zane for most of the time that Chase is in the shower. Chase wraps the towel around his waist and glares at the wheelchair, growling.]

I need help gettin dressed. [And out of the tub. >>;;;]

Thank goodness for that much. Could you imagine how bad it would be if he were even close to Allen's level? Yikes. l-lmao Allen has no idea where they stand as far as that goes...

Cutest puppy. ;u; He hesitates a little when Chase speaks up, cheeks momentarily going the slightest shade of pink, but he beats it down easily enough. He pats Zane on the head, telling him to be good, before he slips his cloak off and heads into the bathroom. It'd be easier to manage without it.]

Ah, do you... ['have clothes', he's about to ask, but he sees them on the wheel chair.]

[Nope, not help at all. Though not having Innocence would. And the different scars. And the pointy teeth.

He was...sort of, when he was that age. He was like any other teenage of that era. Chase just wants to take it slow, just hand-holding and cheek kisses for now until their first date. Depending on how it goes...a chaste kiss. He wants to win over Allen's heart properly.

Zane will go off to his bed and curl up on it.

Chase looks up, hands on the wall trying to steady himself as he tries to get one leg over the side of the tub.] Canno' even get out o'tha damn tub.

You probably should have rested before you tried this... [He looks pretty worried, though. Stepping over, and moving Chase's clothing onto the sink, just in case he can't hold himself up for long after getting out of the tub. And then he moves so that Chase's good arm is around his shoulder, and Allen has an arm around his waist. He was shorter than Chase, but this was the best he could really do for him.] Ready?

I wanted ta be clean. [Grumbles and lets Allen move where he needs to, accepting the vampire's aid to get out of the tub and reaches over to the counter for his boxers, they're first on the pile. Skip over the nuances of getting dressed? And he smells like him again!]
