 | | | | | | | | | | So I've been spending a buncha time geeking out the last couple days. I moved my Shuttle to my desk (which is far better then the corner of the room) and brought up an old PC from below to use as my Skype machine. I installed Ubuntu 9.04 on the Shuttle and wow. I really really like it. I've been using it exclusively for the last couple days and I am really impressed so far. Mind you, all I am doing is surfing the web, chatting on IM, and doing a bit of work in the Terminal. I definitely would never use this as my main OS, I am far to addicted to OS X and it's wonderfully amazing applications. Linux cannot even compare to it, but it's definitely awesome for what I am using it for. Today I bought my first ever flash drive, waaay proud of myself. I was in the store and I was like, ok, time to stop being such a loser, I need one of these, since everyone else has one haha. I really have NO idea what I am going to use it for, but at least I can say I have one! It's 8GB, so that's cool. Did all of my Chapter 6 notes. I was proud of myself. Took me like four hours because not only did I have to take the notes, but I actually really had to understand the material. This chapter was on IP Routing, which is a bit better then the Chapter 3 (subnetting, VLSM) stuff. So now after I finish this entry, I'm going to work on the written lab, which is hopefully not to hard!! I installed Windows 7 on that other PC, my new Skype box :) Everything went pretty smooth, it found my new 500GB drive, and the install didn't bother me as much as a Windows XP install, more like click install and it does it thing...I liked that. It has tons of pretty wallpapers too, so that made me happy. What didn't make me happy is driver issues, but I guess that's something one should be used to if you're using Windows...always driver issues. This time it's the audio drivers...and I don't know what to do...more like I don't have time to Google it...I am sure it's a simple fix...download some file and it'll work :) Spent a bunch of time at the barn today, was wicked nice out. I couldn't bring myself to do the CCNA notes, and then do the labs...so I took a break and worked the horses. I'll be gone to Massachusetts all of next week at a horse show, so I've gotta get them ready for that. Tonight, like I said, finishing (hopefully) the written lab bit of Chapter 6, then I think (if I get this audio drive issue resolved) I'll be playing some Xbox with ltdan . I would like to get back into studying Japanese more routinely since I'll be taking the class in a couple weeks (of which I am VERY excited to do). I love it. Alright, enough of my spamming, and blabberin'! Have a nice night! <3

 | | | | | | | | | | Been super busy, hence no updates on the journal. I apologize. Anyways, Friday I spent working a bit, then I got ready for the horse show we had this weekend. I did place in the top 5 every class I had which was awesome, could have done a lot better but I was just being pretty lazy, whatever, local shows are just for fun and all. So Saturday and Sunday I spent riding in the show and all, lots of fun. Unfortunately all the time outside and in the rain was a bad idea....I got sick and today I took off from work. Spent much of it resting, but raf and I did some Windows VPN troubleshoot and we found a fix that required hacking up the registry (my fave). The Windows registry is so fucking stupid. Either way we got it working and I am happy. Had a nap this afternoon, I feel like I need another one though, blah! Just chatting with Raf now and watching some anime. I think I'll go into the TV room and watch stuff on the big screen though. Ok, well nothing else to say! :)

 | | | | | | | | | | Well today was a pretty good day, super busy as usual. I made it through by emailing raf like 300 times haha, but I think 250 of them were duplicates, not really sure what was up with that. Definitely a lovely day. I did have a few Windows questions which he promptly answered, I love it (not Windows). Hrmm, so jimmy told me about this new gun he was reading about and I checked it out. It's the TSD 516 and it's definitely badass, he also mentioned the SCAR from VFC which is also pretty amazing. I definitely want one, they're like $420 or so though. This is the 516: This is the VFC SCAR, I love it!!! OMG, so orgasmic. So yeah, I just had some Chinese food, and was on the phone with a friend for most of the night, rather my cousin, Nikki, we're really close so I always talk to her about well most anything and everything. Just chatting with a few friends and poking around on FaceBook whilst playing around with my CA M15A4and drooling over these other guns. I really need a new one, I've not bought one in forever.
I gotta installed these uber leetz NVIDIA drivers that Raf says will make me the coolest kid around. I hope it doesn't fuck up my install. I got a few new movies, Batman, WALL-E and Incredible Hulk. Hopefully they're of decent quality.
Hrmm, not much else to say...I best be running along now.

 | | | | | | | | | | Today was rather interesting. I had a lot of work to do, and I didn't really take any breaks or anything so while I was working on this PowerBook I ended up falling asleep, right on top of it. I woke up about 2 hours later, maybe around 3PM, and I just said screw it and stopped working for the day. I went out and did some horsey stuff, and then I came back and I've been chatting online and ganking the Equestrian Olympics for the past 6-7 hours haha Boyfriend is leaving tomorrow again, I think we're going to break up. It's just not working out, and I think it'll be better if we just go our own ways and we do our own things. It's going to better both of us, and we'll definitely still be friends, but I just don't think either of us, can really make it happen, we can't make the commitment, so rather then have it work really poorly, we'll just be good friends. I think that's how it shall happen. Hrm, so what else.... raf is working on a dev server for Scribbld. Wicked nice of him, I don't really understand why he's doing that, I mean "just for fun" too. At least he's not doing moodthemes like I made Andrew J. do haha. I still have to put in 10 themes still and we've got to finish up the FAQs...definitely a rainey day project. So I thought about buying some of those decals you see on the rally cars for my 2.5RS. Make it looks something like the car in DiRT. I haven't played that game in so long, I think I shall pick it up again soon. I love video games, especially the ones you start playing, and then when you look at the clock you realize 6 hours have gone by...*cough* World of Warcraft *cough* Spore...it's fabulous. I love it cuase it frees my mind and I can go into a completely new world, where I don't have to worry about stupid shit. The only thing that matters is if I complete my quests or if I go fishing, or hunting, or whatever... Also I've noticed that Windows people like to blog about broken applications, things the OS should be and how to hack some application because it never works the right way , while Mac people blog about all these wonderful things you can do within the OS, or these really amazing applications and such. Maybe I am subscribed to the wrong blogs... I've got a few new movies (Incredible Hulk and Batman: Dark Night) so I think I shall either try to watch something and not fall asleep too quickly or I can wait until tomorrow...I think it's time for sleep though, I am dying.

My name is Morgan Westfield. I am 22 years old and I'm currently taken by a wonderful boy named Brian! I love equestrian activities, airsoft milsim, video games, hardcore music, technology, good friends, my puppy dog, Apple, and Japanese food. I'm one of the site administrators on Scribbld but I hide mainly behind the servers. I sometimes enjoy meeting new people although I tend to stick with the ones I've got. Don't be shy though, please introduce yourself!
