Abernathy needed a hug.

Stumbling in and out of the crowd still lingering on the dance floor and around the hall she finally targeted the only other person she genuinely felt also needed a hug.

It just so happened that this person was Leon Shaw.

It also just so happened that he was standing next to his girlfriend, AB's longstanding arch-nemesis Adelaide Legaux.

Abernathy didn't happen to take note of this little fact as she tossed her arms around Leon carelessly and squeezed him tightly.

He and Adelaide had been discussing one thing or another, or rather...Leon was mindlessly nodding to whatever she was saying. Frankly he didn't care about who was wearing what, and who looked like a slut. Half the school looked like a slut to him.

But then there were arms around him, squeezing him tightly as he almost fell backwards. Startled, his arms went out wide, hitting Adelaide as he did so.

"Woah," he said aloud, looking down at the head planted on his chest. Without thinking too much, he actually hugged her back, before looking up to see Adelaide staring at him. "Uh...Hi..."

"Ow, what the-- what the hell." If looks could kill, there would be two very dead people on the floor right next to Adelaide.

She'd been working up a small amount of annoyance for the whack in the stomach Leon had dealt her, but that had flared right up into 'are you fucking insane I will kill you' territory when she was that the blow had been a result of Abernathy Ford hugging him. And he was hugging her back. Amber would have been proud of the epic bitchface she was pulling.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" She hissed.

Abernathy wasn't aware of the hit Adelaide took to the stomach. She assumed the question was directed at her and without another thought she let go of Leon and tossed her arms around Addy instead. "Oh. I'm sorry," she mumbled into Adelaide's shoulder. "Shoulda hugged you first."

What the- Leon couldn't even fathom what was going on, right up until Abernathy hugged Adelaide like she was a long lost best friend. Before he knew it he was almost doubled over, laughing as he tried not to draw too much attention to the trio.

But it was likely the funniest thing he'd ever seen.

"I-- the fuck..." Addy was frozen in place, Abernathy wrapped around her like a barnacle. She looked to Leon for help, but he was being completely useless and laughing his ass off.

She squirmed a bit. "You stupid r... AB. Abernathy. What are you doing?"

"I'm hugging you," she replied unhelpfully. She shifted her gaze enough to see Leon laughing it up. "Come on jerk, get in here and hug your girlfriend with me." She opened one arm so that Leon could get in on a group hug while the other held tight to Adelaide.

"Oh, this is priceless." Was all he could muster saying before he stepped up and opened his arms wide to hug both of them tightly. "She's giving you a hug, babe, you should hug her back."

"I know she's hugging me, dumbass, why?!" Oh god, people were staring. And with good reason, this was right up there with Bigfoot suddenly making an appearance and doing the macarena with Professor Fortis. "You are not getting a threesome out of this."

"Oh god no," Abernathy squealed squirming a bit in the three way hug. "I'm not sleeping with either of you. Seriously."

She squeezed them both. "Aren't hugs nice? You needed a hug. We all need to hug out our issues. I love you two crazy kids."

"She looooves you, Addy. You should be happy to have such a great friend." Oh god, he was going to die a thousand deaths, from both of them. Still, He was barely holding in the laugh that still caused his shoulders to shake visibly.

Addy glared at him malevolently, arms firmly pressed to her sides. She was not hugging either of them. "I hate you," she whispered over AB's head. "Make her stop."

"Oh, I know you hate me. I can't remember why honestly. We're just evil bitches to each other," Abernathy replied nearly singsong. She leaned her head onto Leon's shoulder and sighed. "You're not hugging," she admonished and squeezed Adelaide tighter. "She's not hugging us Leon. Make her hug us."

Now that was just a crime. Here Abernathy was trying to be a good, sweet girl and hug them, and Adelaide was being a pure kill joy. Gingerly, Leon reached out and tried to tug Addy's arms up to hug them both.

"Aww, come on, Love. The sooner you hug, the sooner she'll find someone else to spread love to."
