She had managed to hold out pretty well with the crowd for almost an hour, which was pretty good for Tatum. It wasn't until almost quarter to eleven that Tatum excused herself from Frankie for a few minutes, and stepped out of the dance, and into the outdoors. It felt amazing to have a few moments of silence without music pounding in her head, or other students bumping into her as if she wasn't even present in the room. If she could just have a quick smoke, she could relax enough to pull off the rest of the dance, anyway.
She walked until she was far enough from the building that she felt she was safe, turning her back to it, and fishing around inside of the small clutch purse she had brought along. Producing a lighter, she held the joint between her lips and lit it up, inhaling deeply and feeling better already.
Totally clueless, of course, to the approaching figure behind her.

Sera/Jenny
|
"Sounds good to me," Jenny replied, smiling widely at her friend as they made their way off of the dance floor. "I'm dying, I need a drink for sure."
When they reached the refreshment table, they were met by a bit of a crowd, but they were up to the table within a few minutes wait. Grabbing an empty cup from the stack, Jenny poured herself some cider, immediately going to town on it and drinking almost half of it, before beginning to fill up again. "Wanna find a table?" she offered, her eyes falling on one a few paces away, where a couple was vacating the space in favor of the dance floor. "We can trade with them, apparently," she said, pointing that way.
She was glad that things were going to well tonight. Christmas, it seemed, brought everyone together. She had been a little worried that things might be awkward with them still, but many months and brief conversations later, it seemed like they were finally back to normalcy. At least, on the outside. Jenny was definitely still conflicted with a thing or two between them, but tonight, she did intend to come clean with things. They could talk it out once and for all, and she could get everything off of her chest. She was already having enough trouble trying to figure out Ella lately; if she couldn't clear the air with her sister, she was at least going to clear it with her friend.

Abernathy/Leon/Adelaide
|
He and Adelaide had been discussing one thing or another, or rather...Leon was mindlessly nodding to whatever she was saying. Frankly he didn't care about who was wearing what, and who looked like a slut. Half the school looked like a slut to him.
But then there were arms around him, squeezing him tightly as he almost fell backwards. Startled, his arms went out wide, hitting Adelaide as he did so.
"Woah," he said aloud, looking down at the head planted on his chest. Without thinking too much, he actually hugged her back, before looking up to see Adelaide staring at him. "Uh...Hi..."
