Family Reunion (open to Atlanteans)
Arthur walked through the ruins of Poseidonis. The jewel of Atlantis lay mostly in ruins and was now floating on the surface of the ocean. Her sister city of Tritonis was in ruins on the ocean floor. Arthur's kingdom was in ruins, but the people were alive. They would rebuild and Atlantis would flourish again. Arthur would spend the rest of his life making sure of that.

He looked around at the ruins of the city and the people moving about. Arthur already had the council on his back for a meeting, but he told them it could wait. He had to make sure his people were provided for first. A good majority of the newly resurrected citizens had been evacuated to Cerdia, but even Cerdia couldn't hold all of the citizens of Poseidonis. Personnel essential to rebuilding were here now and ready to get started.

Arthur looked over at Mera and smiled. No matter what happened they'd get through it together. His gaze wandered and fell on Ash. Arthur had heard she had assumed the throne and with Garth's help led the surviving people of Atlantis to safety in a remote area away from the two ruined cities. When word that the dead had been restored to life, Garth and Ash led the people back to Poseidonis and they had just arrived.

Mera. Garth. Dolphin. Cerdian. Ash. Just one person was missing from his family. Cait. Thoughts of his daughter added some weight to his shoulders. He had to find her and see if she had been brought back. He couldn't imagine having to go through the rest of his life without her in it.

	Garth has explained the situation to Dolphin and asked that she be there to calm Cerdian should the worst arise. She had that way with him. Meanwhile, Garth would stand with his king and try to convince Caitria that this was for the best. He knew it would work about as well as trying to tell a shark to stop swimming, but they had to try. 	Cait was up early despite the long previous day and night. She was tired, but Atlantis needed her. She had to help her people get through this. A lot of progress had been made yesterday, but there was still so much to do. It would be a long road to a full recovery. "You wanted to see us?" 	Ty, thankfully, doesn't actually need rest, so he was able to work most of the night through, and could have done more, but they don't trust him enough to let him use super speed or otherwise do things they can't supervise. As good as he was feeling about the progress, this meeting dispels. Something isn't right here. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Cerdian arrives last, having been summoned first by the council of mages regarding his role in what happened to Poseidonis. They wanted to know what he remembered about everything, which was very little.

He arrived and bowed to the king and his father.

"I apologize for my tardiness." he says, noting the people in the room.

Why, oh why, did he not try to figure what this was about beforehand?

Arthur was quiet for a long moment and looked at his daughter.

"Thank you all for coming," he said. His face and voice was grim. "Given the recent events the Council has concerns about the succession," Arthur started carefully. "They have every right to be concerned. There is a clear line from me to Caitria, but if something should happend to both of us again succession becomes an issue."

	"By Dis," Cait swore and her arms crossed over her chest. The look she gave her father contained daggers and there may have been some more cursing. "No." Her voice was very flat and firm. 	Garth believed that he'd just seen the moment that this entire discussion had fallen apart. Arthur had that 'I Will Not Bend' expression upon his face. Caitria had the same expression on her face. Garth was trying to ignore the look of shock and betrayal on his son's face while he looked for a way to salvage the situation. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Cerdian will be angry at his father later, for a very long time. Right now, keeping his parents' honor intact was best.

"My king, I apologize for my outburst. I spoke out of turn and did not consider my words." Cerdian says.

"It would be an honor to marry Princess Caitria and do our duty to Atlantis. I only wish my Lord Father had better prepared me for the surprise that comes with such an honor." Cerdian says, kneeling before the king.

"Could Caitria and I have some time to speak about this in private? This is an important decision." Cerdian says, looking to Cait.

	"I'm not doing it," Cait said between clenched teeth. "I will cut all ties to Atlantis if you are going to force me to do this." It wasn't a threat. The kingdom had taken so much from her, including her life, and she wasn't going to let it take Ty from her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
