Just a Misunderstanding
Teleporting was always disconcerting and disorientating. One moment they were in Oklahoma and the next they were in New York City right outside of the Avengers mansion.

Tryggvi reared and pawed at the air. Svalin put a hand on his neck and tried to calm him down. "Easy! Calm down Tryggvi! Please."

A second after their arrival the alarm started sounding.

	Toni managed to back away, barely avoiding the fist. Instantly, she brought her suit's left arm up and the gauntlet... rearranged itself, transforming into a weapon's barrel. There was no visible energy discharge, but the air itself seemed to ripple, while a high pitched whine could be heard. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The shot seems to actually phase him, for a couple moments anyway, staggering him back a few steps. He responds with an unearthly howl, tearing up a thousand pounds or so of the stone gates, flinging it at the offending suit and rushing after it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aw, crap. Why did it have to be stone? Why not nice, simple metal? The gate piece, however, struck Toni dead on, knocking her over and onto her back, while she tried to get the leverage to get it off herself. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He's following right after it, swinging a double handed punch down at the stone, which should nicely do the job of freeing her if she doesn't manage it herself before then. She may be near finding out. The uni-beam, fired at that angle, akes him off his feet, sending him crashing to the ground in a crouch. That's the up-side. The down is that he doesn't appear injured by the blast, though it caught him dead on - he's not dodging much.

From the crouch, he launches himself into a shoulder charge, moving faster than anything that big should be able to.

	"Dammit..." Toni swore under her breath. "Stay down, will you? I'm new at this!" At least no one could hear her whine. She ran through a mental list of the weapons her suit was capable of fielding and decided to go with good old fashioned repulsor blasts. 	He maintains the charge, the repulsorblasts firing off target on impact, and the grazing shots mostly seeming to annoy him. Unheeding of his own safety, he tries to smash both of them, her first, through the side of Avengers' Mansion. At least this impact ought to get the attention of someone upstairs. 	Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap! On the other hand... Toni quickly rewired and reconfigured elements of her suit, moving the thrusters from her boots to her back and fired them full force. It might be just enough counter momentum to work. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It doesn't stop his momentum, but does get her off of his shoulder, launching her upwards and letting him crash headfirst into, then through the titanium reinforced outer-walls like paper all by himself. She's off the hook for the moment, but he seems neither slowed nor happy with this development, coming tearing back through the wall a few moments later. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Okay, white-noise gun (didn't work), repulsors (didn't work), pulse bolts (not enough distance for them to get any power), uni-beam (kinda worked), what about... yeah.

The primary portion of the gun was stored in the armor's shoulder and the other bits quickly assembled themselves into a shoulder mounted cannon that looked more than a little like the gun a Predator might wear. It wasn't good for many shots, but it could fire blasts of raw plasma. And she really needed the power now.

She fired a shot.

He's still not dodging, just coming right back into the fray, leading him to charge right into the plasma blast. And really, that much power, it should just disintegrate most enemies. And, to its credit, he's slammed back into the wall, sending more cracks up the building, and left smoking. The wounds aren't much more than skin deep, more crisping than... well, what plasma should do to anything not a god, but it did slow him down enough to let her get another shot or two or three in.

	"Stay down, dammit, stay down!" Toni shouted. She really didn't want to hurt this guy, but she was running out of options. Hmm... there was probably just enough wreckage... 	He's torn through the titanium reinforced walls a couple times over. There's plenty of wreckage to form the cage, and so far, nothing thrown at him seems to have done any real damage. The cage gets a confused snarl, then a swing, his fist tearing through it like paper, but it continues to slow him down, and there's no shortage of metal to keep refashioning it. There's a few moments it looks like it might work, denying him leverage and layering the metal on.
Reminiscent somewhere between Thor and the Hulk, both of which he brings to mind, with a flex, he tears his arms downward, tearing himself free and sending sharpnel flying everywhere. The only thing missing is an 'I say thee nay!' or a 'Hulk smash!' - he settles for another of those roar turning to a howl things, as he launches himself at the suit again.

	Dammit...! She went down again under the impact, struggling to push her off him. One more chance... she rerouted her electrical power to the skin of her armor. Maybe some shock treatment would work. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

It certainly catches him off guard, just as he's starting to try and tear at the metal suit, the shock runs through him, causing his hand to clench, bending metal around it, but no further impact. Its clear that the full power of the suit coursing through him hurts - but he's also the son of the thunder god. Any thoughts of it knocking him out are quickly dispelled.
On the other hand, he seems far less inclined to try and keep grappling, perhaps unwisely flinging the suit away to one side, not following up immediately on the attack.

	He takes a step back under the repulsor blast, then brings both fists up, hammering them down and sending a shockwave through the earth towards Toni. If he can even hear or understand her at the moment, it doesn't show. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He weathers the repulsorbeams. It looks like they're having some effect, judging by the blast marks on his skin, along with signs of every other weapon fired, but he seems to be moving on through the pain. After getting his feet under him, he steadies himself against the blasts, then rushes forward, leaping into the air after the now flying target. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That effect does a pretty nice job knocking him out of the sky. He's still getting back up, but at the moment, she's at least got a stalemate out of it until he finds more debris. In this state, he doesn't seem terribly imaginitive. Commotion elsewhere on the battlefield also seems to at least briefly have his attention. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
