Checking on the home team
Commander Fontaine, Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., made the rounds when the special ops team came back in. After their last disastrous outing, she wanted to make sure they were still in one cohesive piece. The reports had been favorable.

She hadn't met the newest member yet, though she knew the contents of his file. She'd been the one to have it sent to Sammy for consideration. Her little gun nut, and Walker and Dugan, could always use someone with the ability to build a better gun.

Sammy's report had been terse but informative. The others' a little more informative. Landon was next on her list.

"That's all I can ask for, isn't it? After the last few days, I don't think I could tell you any more about my core beliefs and what I expect." She pulled the rose from its place in the cup holder to smell it. It had been months since she'd received flowers, and now twice in a few days. "I can only give you and the others all the information I have to make sure we come back alive."

"Why do you continually try to break my brain?" Jason grins, wondering exactly how she would use her hands to help persuade him into giving away his information.

Of course, he wouldn't. He was a budding S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent and THE Mad Scientist. There was no interrogator who could crack him, not even Sammy Fury.

The idea of her trying held promise, though.

"Well, I would use my hands to distract you from doing so." Jason fires back.
