When Monsters Attack in Memphis!
The citizens of Memphis, TN were trying to stay cool on a hot summer's day. The temperature reached 90 degrees with about 85% humidity. It was a hot sticky day and the citizens sought relief from the heat wherever they could. Some sought it in the air conditioned buildings while other sought it in water.

Tourists to the city took in the local sights. Some wandered through Graceland and others walked along Beale Street in the heat. Some took a cruise on the Tunica Queen Riverboat. These poor unfortunate souls would be the first to discover the impending doom that was about to strike the city.

The waters of the mighty Mississippi churned and foamed formed. A few moments later a shape emerged from the muddy waters. The riverboat was tossed about and slowly the monster emerged from the water and climbed up the east bank. It slowly pulled itself up to its full 300' height and looked at the city below. It let out a mighty roar and started destroying buildings.

	On one hand, so long as he keeps flying backwards, paying attention to staying just out of reach, he's not getting hit, just leading the monster backwards as he dodges and weaves, blasting away. On the downside, he's not doing any damage this way either, but its buying the Avengers' roster some time to get here and get their bearings. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	With Anya on site, Iason switches to wolfpack tactics. He does a flying, fists first dive at the back of its shoulder while its batting at Anya, always staying on the opposite side she's on, and darting away after each hit. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Quinjet came roaring across the skies, engines hot as it decelerated to a fighting speed. Weapons ports popped open along the sides of the cockpit and laser cannons emerged, firing duel shots at the monster. "Look alive people," Toni said. "And hang on tight!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Anya looked up when she heard the roar of engines. The cavalry had arrived. A moment distraction caused a large hand to hit her and she went flying backward through the air. Anya tried to right herself before the impact with the ground came, but she couldn't manage it. Anya met ground with a hard impact. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Anya!" Iason calls, more concerned with her safety than the banter. Firing off several concussive blasts at short range, he tries to get the monster's attention and get it to turn and come for him so she can recover, or get some help. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Getting in close to engage gets Iason swatted. He craters into the ground, but demonstrates he's alright by firing a blast of cosmic energy at one leg. "We need some kind of plan. 	"Damnit..." Iason rocketed to the site, disintegrating some of the debris with heat beams before it could hit the ground and intercepting a large chunk of concrete.
