Careful manuvering
Eliza was frantic in her search for some sun glasses and some warm clothing so she could go shopping. She pulled on a coat and shoved some gloves into her pocket and bounced out of her room with a purse stuck under one arm. She stops and stands by a window looking outside. It really did look chilly but she had to get out there to pick up something for the charity ball.

She wonders for a moment if she can recruit someone to go with her on this little trip. She smiles to herself and searches the mansion looking for Iason before she looses her nerve. There's no reason to not ask him to go with her. It's just to pick up some toys.

"Iason?"

Eliza has to think about. She knows a few places with toys. The other places that had come to mind had closed when she checked them out on-line.

Then it comes to mind Of course Fao Schawrtz! That was a good toy store so when she sees it she points it out. She is so used to swinging and jumping from buildings that being up in the air with Iason doesn't even bother her for a second. "That should be a good place to start. It's a huge place. We'll find something, I'm sure."

"I'm not sure yet. It depends what my Dad and his wife are doing," she admits. "I want to get to spend time with everyone. Mom was awesome about offering to go with me to see Dad."

She fights to not frown. She loved her mother dearly for everything she did she just didn't look forward to anything that might happen between Mom and Elektra. "What do you think you'll do?"

"I don't know, actually. My aunt is probably throwing a big party, just because its an excuse to party. Christmas or any other holiday wasn't really anything to me growing up, so I'm kind of learning as I go. I was pondering just spending it in lower orbit and observing, though I think I'd miss a lot of the nuances. If you need a lift coast to coast to catch everything you'd like to do, let me know though. I'm happy to help."

	Eliza blinks up at him. He has just enough height on her for her to do that. She was listening to him and found herself just blushing a little. She pants a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you. I think if I have to do any travel it will be with my Mom though. I... hope you find something you enjoy about Christmas though. I think it's pretty this time of year." 	She nods a little. "I heard stories. You might not learn a lot there. I think there should be an Avenger's party though. On my world they had one every year. It was very nice." He scans about the place, pushing his senses to their limits.
"Those displays four rows back sound very popular with at least half a dozen children and a few mothers, and the back left corner has at least two toddlers with their mothers, so depends on what age group you're looking for. And yeah, I'll probably go to the Avengers' one. I'm pretty sure my Aunt would just be trying to hook me up with someone if I came without a date. Much as I appreciate Sersi, I think I'll pass."

She looks to see what the kids are looking at. Her eyes go wide. "I forgot they were making a movie out of that."

She takes his hand and starts to pull him along. "There's this book called Where The Wild Things Are. They made it into a movie and they always make cool toys after a kids movie comes out."

She stops not too far away and looks on with a fond smile. Her childhood damn it. Nothing beat recalling a little her begging her Mom to read it just one more time before bed. Boy she had been little.

Eliza crooks a brow. "So she's playing match maker?"

	"I'd like that," Eliza murmurs with a smile. "We should pick up a copy of the book for the charity... since I know I'll have to buy a couple of these stuffed toys for them." Eliza looks at him and tilts her head while her brain filter goes boom so she can understand exactly what that means. Which means given her fair skin it will be easy to see her blush. "Oh." He picks up on the blush pretty quickly, as well as realizing he just accidentally asked her out, again. And she'd agreed, again. Well, if he's going to have that kind of track record, he figures he might as well be a little bold.
"I'll bet we can find it playing somewhere. We can get a few copies of the book and toys, then do dinner, if you're up for it? And... yeah, I have nothing against my Aunt or her life. Its just that there's this really gorgeous redhead I've had my eye on that I'd like to get to know a little better."

"Three or four of them. I figure that they'll be going to more than one kid so it's okay to get a couple," she says with a nod as she begins to reach over he heads of the kids to select a few.

"Wow. They did a good job with these." She turns a stuffed Bernard over in her hands and lets out an amused grin. "When I was little Mom used to read the book to me in Russian."

She picks up a fifth one with every intention of giving it to her mother on New Year's. She thinks it's a little sappy but she can't help herself right now. "Now to the books?"

	He grabs a few more of them. A couple for the kids, and then a certain redhead is going to find the one she reacted to most strongly as her Christmas present, or one of them anyway, in a few weeks. Eliza has no idea that he is planning that. She just finds that he grabbed some more toys for the kids cute because somehow he looks adorable with some stuffed toys in his arms.

"You'll have to see the movie and read the book," she says with a short nod. She is positive he will get it once he sees why it's so awesome. She steps around a few more kids who are running long to see something that to them is so cool. The books are easy to find just look for the sort of quite part of the store.

	Well, some of them are for the kids, anyway. And it makes an easy cover for her Christmas present. "Well, we'll have some copies of the book shortly, I think I see it over there. 	Eliza doesn't quite blush but looks pleased. "Well I'm glad I could make it a god day." She thinks this has been a good day for her as well. She needs to get up the nerve to seek Iason out more often. She has another idea but she'll worry about that after the movie. She doesn't want to jump the gun while they're having fun. "Sounds good, a lot of things there I haven't tried yet." he replies while waiting for the employee to finish processing the sale. "Ok, back to the mansion to drop this off, and let's see if we can find somewhere playing your movie. You know, if you'd prefer, I'm sure Natasha could make arrangements and I could fly us to Russia to see it? My Russian isn't perfect, but I'm working on it."
