What's the most embarrassing thing either of your parents have done when you were out with them?

Father used to, if he decided there was something wrong with my hair, stop me in my tracks almost anywhere and rebraid it or whatever seemed necessary.

I soon learned to fix it right the first time.

Your dad did that? Strange. That sounds like something a mom would do.

::shrug:: Father's very...precise about hair. His is even longer than Mother's, and it's always perfect unless he's actually in the middle of combat practice or important active work.

It's just strange because it's usually moms who fuss over hair.

Mom likes to point out boys.

Does she at least point out cute ones?

Yes, but that just makes it worse!

What about your parents?

It never hurts to look at eyecandy.

My mom only does it in front of my dad to get him going.

My dads tend to get all geeky fanboy or all lovey-couply in public when we go out.

Nothing wrong with the lovey couple routine. My parents do it all the time; Granny says they'll 'give people cavities'.

The cavities are only part of the problem.

When they happen out in front of my high school there is. *sweatdrop*

Mom can sometimes be overly critical of other people’s hair.

Anything my mother did was embarrassing and sad...then again she was criminally insane and often expressed the desire to cut out my heart as a sacrifice to her whacko cult.
Got embarrassing when the kids at school found out about that.

Daddy will occasionally run off into some store, and emerge with something pink and girly for me to try on right away.

Made worse by the fact that he occasionally gets so seized by the moment that he doesn't remember to pay until AFTER some clerk has come out after him.

I'd like to say that it was the time they got into a shouting match in the middle of a restaurant while Dinah was joining us for dinner...

...but it's more that they both stormed off, then came back ten minutes later... not fighting anymore. ~.~

Mom and Dad are really lovey in public, but that's not an issue.

The issue was a parent-teacher meeting where Dad got a little too laid-back ab out being a mutant, and unjammed a file cabinet for the principal from across the room. If he hadn't said "I got this" he might have even been able to play it off.

My father insisted on starting to use a glamour to hide the graying along his temples. *sigh*

Mom and Dad both like to go to computer stores and grill the salespeople until said salespeople are hopelessly lost.

You realize, Dad, that among many, many other things, it is embarrassing to insist on wearing pants to formal town events in Nova Roma, right?

:::pause::

And by that, I mean that you're supposed to be wearing a tunic, not that you should go in your underwear. Just to be clear before Cait blames me for something.

I'm sure as hell not embarrassed by it but Mom used to make Rex carry little me around when we went to the store. Because I'd have a FIT otherwise. Totally ruined his ability to flirt. I rule.
